Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran dan fungsi guru pendamping anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK) usia dini dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran di kelas. Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana guru pendamping menjalankan peran serta fungsi mereka dalam menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang inklusif dan mendukung perkembangan optimal ABK dengan latar belakang guru bukan dari pendidikan khusus. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi di salah satu sekolah inklusif. Hal penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru pendamping memiliki peran sebagai fasilitator, pembimbing, motivator, mediator, serta pelaksana program individual. Fungsi utama yang dijalankan meliputi menyiapkan program pembelajaran individual, memfasilitasi kemampuan sosial anak, monitoring & evaluasi, dan memberikan motivasi pada anak. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peran aktif dan fungsi yang optimal dari guru pendamping sangat penting dalam meningkatkan keberhasilan belajar dan perkembangan ABK di kelas. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi pengembangan kompetensi guru pendamping dan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan inklusif di Indonesia. -------- This study aims to analyze the roles and functions of shadow teachers for children with special needs in supporting the learning process in the classroom. The main problem in this study is how shadow teachers carry out their roles and functions in creating an inclusive learning environment and supporting the optimal development of children with special needs with a non-special education background. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation in an inclusive school. The research indicates that the shadow teacher has roles as a facilitator, guide, motivator, mediator, and implementer of individual programs. The main functions performed include preparing individualized learning programs, facilitating children's social skills, monitoring and evaluation, and providing motivation to children. The conclusion of this study confirms that the active roles and optimal functions of the shadow teacher are crucial for enhancing the learning success and development of children with special needs in the classroom. This study is expected to be a reference for the development of the competence of shadow teachers and improving the quality of inclusive education in Indonesia.
