Abstract

Kemampuan literasi numerasi merupakan kemampuan individu untuk mengaplikasikan pengetahuan matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari untuk menyelesaikan masalah, menganalisis, dan mengevaluasi hasil penyelesaiannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kemampuan literasi numerasi, kondisi kecemasan matematis, dan hubungan antara kemampuan literasi numerasi dan kecemasan siswa kelas IX SMP. Metode yang digunakan ialah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek terdiri atas 32 siswa SMP kelas IX pada salah satu SMP di Bandung yang telah mempelajari topik bangun ruang sisi datar. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknis tes berupa tes kemampuan literasi numerasi dan teknik non tes berupa angket kecemasan matematis dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa berada pada kategori sedang dan memiliki tingkat kecemasan matematis sedang. Siswa dengan kondisi kecemasan matematis rendah memiliki tingkat kemampuan literasi numerasi yang baik ditandai dengan terpenuhinya hampir seluruh indikator kemampuan literasi numerasi. Siswa dengan kondisi kecemasan matematis sedang memiliki tingkat kemampuan literasi numerasi yang beragaram ditandai dengan terpenuhinya 1 hingga 3 indikator kemampuan literasi numerasi. Siswa dengan kondisi kecemasan matematis tinggi memiliki kemampuan literasi numerasi yang rendah ditandai dengan hanya tercapainya 1 bahkan tidak satupun indikator literasi numerasi yang tercapai. Numeracy literacy ability is an individual's ability to apply mathematical knowledge in everyday life to solve problems, analyze, and evaluate the results of their solutions. This study aims to analyze the level of numeracy literacy ability, mathematical anxiety conditions, and the relationship between numeracy literacy ability and anxiety of grade IX junior high school students. The method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. The subjects consisted of 32 grade IX junior high school students at one of the junior high schools in Bandung who had studied the topic of flat-sided solid figures. Data collection techniques were carried out using test techniques in the form of numeracy literacy ability tests and non-test techniques in the form of mathematical anxiety questionnaires and interview guidelines. The results of the study showed that the majority of students' numeracy literacy abilities were in the moderate category and had moderate levels of mathematical anxiety. Students with low mathematical anxiety conditions had good levels of numeracy literacy abilities indicated by the fulfillment of almost all indicators of numeracy literacy abilities. Students with moderate mathematical anxiety conditions had varying levels of numeracy literacy abilities indicated by the fulfillment of 1 to 3 indicators of numeracy literacy abilities. Students with high mathematical anxiety have low numeracy literacy skills, indicated by only achieving 1 or even none of the numeracy literacy indicators.
