Kebijakan zonasi dalam Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) membawa tantangan bagi sekolah dalam menangani keberagaman siswa. Sekolah memiliki peran strategis dalam mengatasi tantangan tersebut, yang membutuhkan komitmen kuat dari seluruh pemangku kebijakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengembangan model penanganan keberagaman siswa guna mewujudkan sekolah yang efektif, dengan studi pasca PPDB zonasi di SMA Negeri Rayon 12 Jakarta Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan yang menggabungkan Grounded Theory dan Model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Sampel penelitian terdiri dari empat SMA Negeri di Rayon 12 Jakarta Selatan. Studi pendahuluan dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan pada dua sekolah, sementara uji konfirmabilitas (expert judgement) dilakukan melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dengan melibatkan pemangku kebijakan pendidikan, seperti Dinas Pendidikan, Pengawas SMA, kepala sekolah, guru, serta akademisi dari Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penanganan keberagaman siswa pasca PPDB zonasi di SMA Negeri Rayon 12 Jakarta Selatan secara faktual belum optimal; (2) dapat dirancang Model Penanganan Keberagaman Siswa Pasca PPDB Zonasi untuk mendukung sekolah yang efektif; (3) uji konfirmabilitas menghasilkan Model Hipotetik MPLS-Plus Berkelanjutan; dan (4) model final MPLS-Plus Berkelanjutan dikembangkan untuk menangani keberagaman siswa dari awal masuk hingga lulus sekolah. Kesimpulannya, Model MPLS-Plus Berkelanjutan dapat digunakan sebagai pendekatan strategis dalam menangani keberagaman siswa guna mewujudkan sekolah yang efektif, tanpa terbatas hanya pada kebijakan zonasi. Indonesian University of Education. The zoning policy in New Student Admissions (PPDB) brings challenges for schools in handling student diversity. Schools have a strategic role in overcoming these challenges, which requires a strong commitment from all policy makers. This study aims to describe the development of a model for handling student diversity in order to realize effective schools, with a post-PPDB zoning study at SMA Negeri Rayon 12 South Jakarta. This study uses a qualitative method with an approach that combines Grounded Theory and the 4D Model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The research sample consisted of four SMA Negeri in Rayon 12 South Jakarta. The preliminary study was conducted through interviews, observations, and document studies. Limited trials were conducted in two schools, while confirmability tests (expert judgment) were conducted through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) involving education policy makers, such as the Education Office, SMA Supervisors, principals, teachers, and academics from the Indonesian Education University. The results of the study indicate that: (1) handling student diversity after PPDB zoning at SMA Negeri Rayon 12 South Jakarta is factually not optimal; (2) a Post-Zoning Student Diversity Handling Model can be designed to support effective schools; (3) confirmability testing produces a Sustainable MPLS-Plus Hypothetical Model; and (4) a final Sustainable MPLS-Plus model is developed to handle student diversity from entry to graduation. In conclusion, the Sustainable MPLS-Plus Model can be used as a strategic approach in handling student diversity to create effective schools, without being limited to zoning policies.
