    Abstract

    ABSTRAK

    Keterampilan abad-21, yang meliputi berpikir kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan komunikasi, menjadi kompetensi yang sangat diperlukan dalam menghadapi tantangan global. Namun, realitas menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa dalam keterampilan ini masih bervariasi, khususnya dalam mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Islam yang cenderung berorientasi pada pendekatan tradisional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) pada mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Islam, khususnya pada materi "Sumber Hukum Islam," dalam meningkatkan keterampilan abad-21 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-eksperimen menggunakan one-group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari mahasiswa program studi Fisika pada mata kuliah Pendidikan Agama Islam di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kreativitas, serta rubrik penilaian kolaborasi dan komunikasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik untuk mengukur perubahan kemampuan sebelum dan sesudah implementasi model RADEC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model RADEC secara signifikan meningkatkan keterampilan abad-21 mahasiswa. Skor berpikir kritis dan kreativitas meningkat secara substansial dari tingkat sedang ke tinggi, sementara keterampilan komunikasi dan kolaborasi menunjukkan peningkatan kualitas interaksi dalam diskusi kelompok dan presentasi. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa model RADEC efektif dalam menciptakan pembelajaran aktif, inovatif, dan berbasis eksplorasi, khususnya dalam konteks Pendidikan Agama Islam. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi model pembelajaran inovatif dalam pengajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam untuk menjawab kebutuhan kompetensi abad-21. Penerapan model RADEC tidak hanya mendukung penguasaan materi akademik, tetapi juga membentuk mahasiswa yang adaptif, kreatif, dan kolaboratif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menyarankan bahwa penggunaan model RADEC secara lebih luas dalam mata kuliah lain dapat dikembangkan dengan kurikulum perguruan tinggi yang mendukung penguatan keterampilan abad-21.

    ABSRACT
    21st-century skills, including critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication, are essential competencies in facing global challenges. However, reality shows that students' abilities in these skills still vary, especially in Islamic Religious Education courses that tend to be oriented towards a traditional approach. This study aims to analyze the effect of the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, Create) learning model in the PAI course, especially on the material "Sources of Islamic Law," in improving students' 21st-century skills. This study uses a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest. The subjects of the study consisted of students of the Mathematics study program in the Islamic Religious Education course at the Indonesian Education University. Data collection was carried out through critical thinking and creativity skills tests, as well as collaboration and communication assessment rubrics. Data were analyzed using statistical tests to measure changes in abilities before and after the implementation of the RADEC model. The results showed that the implementation of the RADEC model significantly improved students' 21st-century skills. Critical thinking and creativity scores increased substantially from moderate to high levels, while communication and collaboration skills showed an increase in the quality of interaction in group discussions and presentations. These findings indicate that the RADEC model is effective in creating active, innovative, and exploration-based learning, especially in the context of Islamic Religious Education. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of integrating innovative learning models in teaching Islamic Religious Education to answer the needs of 21st-century competencies. The application of the RADEC model not only supports mastery of academic materials, but also forms students who are adaptive, creative, and collaborative. Therefore, this study suggests that broader use of the RADEC model in other courses could be developed with college curricula that support strengthening 21st century skills.
