Abstract
Kemampuan berpikir logis sangat penting dalam pembelajaran di sekolah, khususnya dalam memahami konsep-konsep SQL dalam basis data. Berdasarkan temuan awal, banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi yang bersifat konseptual. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran berbantuan multimedia yang interaktif dianggap dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian dan pengembangan dengan pendekatan ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluate) dan mengaplikasikan model pembelajaran CTL yang terintegrasi dengan game edukasi untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran CTL berbantuan multimedia interaktif berbasis game dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir logis siswa, terbukti dari perbandingan skor pretest dan posttest yang mendapat skor kenaikan 0,47 (47%) serta tanggapan positif dari siswa dengan rata-rata 76,5% terhadap penggunaan game sebagai media pembelajaran yang menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran CTL berbantuan game EduSQL memotivasi dan meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di SMK.
Logical thinking skills are essential in school learning, especially in understanding SQL concepts in databases. Based on initial findings, many students struggle to grasp conceptual material. Therefore, interactive multimedia-assisted learning is considered effective in enhancing students' motivation and understanding. This study uses a research and development design with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluate) approach and applies the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) model integrated with educational games to address these challenges. The results indicate that the use of the CTL model assisted by interactive, game-based multimedia can improve students' logical thinking skills, as evidenced by the comparison of pretest and posttest scores showing a 0.47 (47%) increase, along with positive feedback from students, with an average of 76.5% in favor of using games as a learning medium. This demonstrates that the CTL model supported by the EduSQL game motivates students and enhances their understanding. This study is expected to contribute to the development of technology-based learning media to improve the quality of education in vocational schools.
