Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan pendidikan lingkungan belum menjadi fokus utama di banyak sekolah dasar. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, pendidikan lingkungan di sekolah dasar menjadi langkah strategis dalam meningkatkan literasi lingkungan siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk (1) mendeskripsikan manajemen kegiatan River Cleanup School Program (RCSP) dalam aspek perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengawasan di sekolah dasar. (2) mendeskripsikan partisipasi aktif siswa dalam kegiatan River Cleanup School Program (RCSP) di sekolah dasar. (3) mendeskripsikan proses melatih kemampuan literasi lingkungan siswa dalam kegiatan River Cleanup School Program (RCSP) di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus yang bersifat deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi, angket dan studi dokumen, Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data kualitatif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan River Cleanup School Program (RCSP) di Sekolah Dasar telah menerapkan keempat fungsi manajemen dengan baik, namun masih perlu adanya intrumen untuk melihat keaktifan dan pengawasan dari sekolah serta pendokumentasian kegiatan yang lebih baik. Analisis terhadap proses melatih literasi lingkungan siswa dalam kegiatan RCSP menunjukkan bahwa kedua sekolah tersebut memiliki kemampuan literasi lingkungan yang baik.

This research is motivated by the fact that environmental education has not been the main focus in many elementary schools. To overcome this problem, environmental education in elementary schools is a strategic step in improving students' environmental literacy. The objectives of this study are to (1) describe the management of River Cleanup School Program (RCSP) activities in terms of Planning, Organizing, implementing and supervising in elementary schools. (2) describe the active participation of students in River Cleanup School Program (RCSP) activities in elementary schools. (3) describe the process of training students' environmental literacy skills in River Cleanup School Program (RCSP) activities in elementary schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study method. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observations, questionnaires and document studies. Data analysis techniques used were Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis which included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or verification. The results show that River Cleanup School Program (RCSP) activities in elementary schools have implemented the four management functions well, but there is still a need for instruments to see the activeness and supervision of schools and better documentation of activities. Analysis of the process of training students' environmental literacy in RCSP activities shows that both schools have good environmental literacy skills.
