Abstract
Model pembelajaran VAK merupakan model pembelajaran yang mengkombinasikan ketiga gaya belajar yaitu melihat (visual), mendengar (auditori), dan bergerak (kinestetik). Pada tahap elaborasi dalam model ini, masih terdapat yang hanya berfokus pada satu atau dua gaya belajar saja. Hal tersebut sesuai dengan kekurangan model pembelajaran VAK, dimana masih banyak yang belum mampu mengkombinasikan ketiga gaya belajar ini. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran VAK terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan penelitian terdahulu dan observasi awal, hasil pembelajaran IPAS materi perubahan wujud benda ada pada kriteria rendah. Model pembelajaran VAK memiliki keterkaitan dengan materi perubahan wujud benda dimana siswa dapat terlibat langsung dengan melakukan percobaan sederhana. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif metode Pre-Eksperimen dengan one group pre-test post-test design. Sampel pada penelitian berjumlah 26 siswa kelas IV di SDN 098 Ciroyom. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes tertulis dengan jenis soal pilihan ganda dan uraian. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis, dan uji N-gain. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, rata-rata hasil pre-test dan post-test mengalami peningkatan yaitu dari 51,15 menjadi 75,38. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis diperoleh nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya H0 dan H1 diterima serta menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang signifikan. Dalam Uji N-Gain diperoleh nilai 0,56 yang berarti skor N-Gain berada pada kategori “sedang”. Sedangkan presentase N-Gain menunjukkan nilai 56,86 berada pada kategori tafsiran “cukup efektif”. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran VAK efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS pada siswa kelas IV SD.
The VAK learning model is a learning model that combines the three learning styles: seeing (visual), hearing (auditory), and moving (kinesthetic). At the elaboration stage in this model, there are still those who only focus on one or two learning styles. This aligns with the shortcomings of the VAK learning model, where many are still unable to combine these three learning styles. Therefore, the objective of this research is to test the effectiveness of the VAK learning model on students' learning outcomes. Based on previous research and initial observations, the learning outcomes of the IPAS subject on the material of changes in the state of matter are at a low criterion. The VAK learning model is related to the material on the changes in the state of matter, where students can be directly involved by conducting simple experiments. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Pre-Experiment method and a one group pre-test post-test design. The sample in the study consisted of 26 fourth-grade students at SDN 098 Ciroyom. The instrument used was a written test with multiple-choice and essay questions. The data analysis used includes normality test, homogeneity test, hypothesis test, and N-gain test. Based on the data obtained, the average pre-test and post-test results showed an increase from 51.15 to 75.38. Based on the hypothesis test, a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained, which means H0 and H1 are accepted and indicate a significant improvement in student learning outcomes. In the N-Gain Test, a value of 0.56 was obtained, which means the N-Gain score falls into the "moderate" category. Meanwhile, the N-Gain percentage shows a value of 56.86, which falls into the "moderately effective" interpretation category. Thus, it can be concluded that the VAK learning model is effective in improving IPAS learning outcomes for fourth-grade elementary school students.
