Abstract
Dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dibutuhkan model pembelajaran yang berbasis masalah. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang berbasis masalah ialah model Inquiry Based Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Inquiry Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain Post Test Only Control Group Design. Variabel penelitian ini ialah Model Inquiry Based Learning dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu memberikan penjelasan sederhana, Membangun keterampilan dasar, Menyimpulkan, Memberikan penjelasan lebih lanjut, Menyusun strategi dan taktik. Subjek penelitian ini ialah kelas XI IPS 1 dan XI IPS 2. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi, lembar observasi dan Tes. Data dianalisis dengan hasil uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis dengan uji T – Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik setelah menggunakan model Inquiry Based Learning dikelas eksperimen secara keseluruhan berada pada kategori sangat tinggi. 2) Kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik setelah menggunakan model Inquiry Based Learning dikelas kontrol secara keseluruhan berdada pada kategori tinggi. 3) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada Kelas Eksperimen dan Kelas Kontrol, berdasarkan uji Indipendent sample t - test dengan nilai sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0.000 < 0.05. :In developing critical thinking skills, a problem-based learning model is needed. One of the problem-based learning models is the Inquiry Based Learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the Inquiry Based Learning model on critical thinking skills. The research method uses the experimental method with the Post Test Only Control Group Design. The variables of this study are the Inquiry Based Learning Model and critical thinking skills. Indicators of critical thinking skills are giving simple explanations, building basic skills, concluding, providing further explanations, developing strategies and tactics. The subjects of this study were class XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 2. Data collection instruments used documentation, observation sheets and tests. Data were analyzed with the results of the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing with the T-test. The results showed that: 1) Students' critical thinking skills after using the Inquiry Based Learning model in the experimental class as a whole were in the very high category. 2) Students' critical thinking skills after using the Inquiry Based Learning model in the control class as a whole are in the high category. 3) There are differences in students' critical thinking abilities in the Experiment Class and Control Class, based on the Indipendent sample t-test with a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05.
