    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh aplikasi Nearpod dengan pendekatan EMRED dalam peningkatkan vocabulary Bahasa Inggris siswa kelas 3 SDN Purwakarta 1 Kota Cilegon. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental Design menggunakan kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Kelas eksperimen diberikan treatment menggunakan media pembelajaran aplikasi Nearpod dengan pendekatan EMRED, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya menggunakan media ajar yang biasa digunakan guru saat pembelajaran di kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling dengan populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas 3 SDN Purwakarta 1 Kota Cilegon. Data diperoleh dari hasil pre-test dan post-test yang diberikan kepada siswa baik di kelas kontrol maupun kelas eksperimen serta angket respon siswa yang diberikan hanya pada kelas eksperimen. Selanjutnya, data yang diperoleh akan dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas (Saphiro-Wilk) dan uji homogenitas (Uji Fisher) sebagai syarat sebelum dilakukannya uji hipotesis (Independent Sample t-test) dengan bantuan Software IBM SPSS Statistic 20. Diperoleh data rata-rata hasil pre-test 80 pada kelas kontrol dan 81 pada kelas eksperimen, serta data rata-rata hasil post-test kelas kontrol 73 dan kelas eksperimen 86. Dari hasil uji T (Independent Sample t-test) diperoleh hasil nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0.001<0.05 artinya menyatakan Ho ditolak. Hasil rata-rata angket sebagai tindak lanjut siswa menunjukkan angka sebesar 88,75% termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pebedaan rata-rata antara hasil di kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen yang artinya adanya pengaruh dari penggunaan aplikasi Nearpod dengan pendekatan EMRED terhadap peningkatan vocabulary siswa kelas 3 SDN Purwakarta 1 Kota Cilegon. This study aims to determine the effect of the Nearpod application with the EMRED approach in improving English vocabulary of grade 3 students of SDN Purwakarta 1, Cilegon City. This study uses a quantitative experimental research method. The research design used is Quasi Experimental Design using a control class and an experimental class. The experimental class was given treatment using the Nearpod application learning media with the EMRED approach, while the control class only used the teaching media that teachers usually use during classroom learning. The sampling technique used the Simple Random Sampling technique with the population being all grade 3 students of SDN Purwakarta 1, Cilegon City. Data were obtained from the results of the Pre-test and Post-test given to students in both the control class and the experimental class as well as student response questionnaires given only to the experimental class. Furthermore, the data obtained will be analyzed using the normality test (Saphiro-Wilk) and homogeneity test (Fisher's Test) as a requirement before conducting a hypothesis test (Independent Sample t-test) with the help of IBM SPSS Statistic 20 Software. The average data obtained for the Pre-test results were 80 in the control class and 81 in the experimental class, and the average data for the Post-test results for the control class were 73 and the experimental class were 86. From the results of the T test (Independent Sample t-test), the Sig. (2-tailed) value was obtained 0.001 <0.05, meaning that Ho was rejected. The average results of the questionnaire as a follow-up to students showed a figure of 88.75% included in the very good category. The conclusion of this study is that there is a difference in the average between the results in the control class and the experimental class, which means that there is an influence of the use of the Nearpod application with the EMRED approach on improving the vocabulary of grade 3 students of SDN Purwakarta 1, Cilegon City.
