Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengalaman guru dalam menerapkan Living Values Education Program (LVEP) di TK Islam Al-Fikri Bekasi, dengan fokus pada upaya membentuk karakter anak usia dini dengan kegiatan berbasis keagamaan islam. Penelitian ini mengkaji secara mendalam pengalaman guru dalam mengimplementasikan LVEP, termasuk perspektif guru terhadap program, strategi yang digunakan dalam penerapannya, dampak program terhadap perkembangan karakter anak, serta kendala dan refleksi guru selama proses pelaksanaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan dua orang guru berpengalaman di TK Islam Al-Fikri Bekasi, observasi terhadap aktivitas pembelajaran, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki perspektif yang positif terhadap nilai-nilai universal LVEP, seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, dan kerjasama. Guru mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai LVEP dan nilai-nilai agama islam ke dalam kurikulum melalui berbagai metode pembelajaran kreatif, seperti refleksi nilai, permainan kelompok, diskusi, seni, kegiatan berbasis keagamaan serta pengalaman nyata. Pengalaman guru dalam menerapkan LVEP juga melibatkan pemanfaatan fasilitas pembelajaran berbasis nilai seperti cerita, lagu, media visual, area luar ruangan serta media edukatif berbasis agama islam, yang membantu anak menginternalisasi nilai-nilai secara langsung. Dampak positif dari penerapan LVEP terlihat pada peningkatan sikap empati, tanggung jawab, dan kemampuan kerjasama anak-anak, yang tercermin dalam perilaku positif seperti berbagi, membantu sesama, dan mengakui kesalahan secara jujur. Namun, guru menghadapi beberapa kendala dalam implementasi LVEP, seperti perbedaan tingkat pemahaman anak terhadap nilai-nilai yang diajarkan, keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran, serta kebutuhan akan pengembangan kapasitas guru dan dukungan orang tua. Refleksi guru menunjukkan bahwa LVEP merupakan pendekatan yang efektif untuk membentuk karakter anak usia dini, namun diperlukan upaya lebih lanjut untuk mengatasi tantangan yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengalaman guru memainkan peran krusial dalam keberhasilan LVEP. Dengan pelatihan yang lebih intensif, kolaborasi dengan orang tua, dan pengembangan sumber daya pendukung, pengalaman guru dapat dioptimalkan untuk memperluas penerapan LVEP di berbagai institusi pendidikan anak usia dini sebagai model pendidikan karakter yang berkelanjutan.
This study aims to describe the experiences of teachers in implementing the Living Values Education Program (LVEP) at Al-Fikri Islamic Kindergarten, Bekasi, with a focus on efforts to shape the character of early childhood through Islamic-based activities. This research provides an in-depth analysis of teachers' experiences in implementing LVEP, including their perspectives on the program, strategies used in its application, the program's impact on children's character development, as well as the challenges and reflections encountered during the process. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach, where data were collected through in-depth interviews with two experienced teachers at Al-Fikri Islamic Kindergarten, observations of learning activities, and document analysis. The findings indicate that teachers have a positive perspective on the universal values promoted by LVEP, such as honesty, responsibility, and cooperation. Teachers integrate LVEP values and Islamic values into the curriculum through various creative teaching methods, including value reflection, group games, discussions, arts, religious-based activities, and real-life experiences. Teachers' experiences in implementing LVEP also involve the use of value-based learning facilities, such as stories, songs, visual media, outdoor areas, and Islamic educational media, which help children internalize values directly. The positive impact of LVEP implementation is evident in the increased empathy, responsibility, and teamwork skills among children, reflected in positive behaviors such as sharing, helping others, and admitting mistakes honestly. However, teachers face several challenges in implementing LVEP, including differences in children's understanding of values, limited teaching time, and the need for teacher capacity development and parental support. Teachers’ reflections indicate that LVEP is an effective approach for shaping early childhood character, but further efforts are needed to address the challenges encountered. This study concludes that teachers' experiences play a crucial role in the success of LVEP. With more intensive training, collaboration with parents, and the development of supporting resources, teachers' experiences can be optimized to expand the implementation of LVEP in various early childhood education institutions as a sustainable character education model.
