Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta bahwa kemandirian belajar sangat menunjang keberhasilan dalam pembelajaran anak di sekolah khususnya bagi anak dengan hambatan penglihatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemandirian belajar peserta didik kelas V SLBN A Kota Bandung. Penelitian menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu memberi gambaran dan penjelasan berdasarkan pengungkapan berupa kata – kata dan gambar dari responden mengenai program dalam meningkatkan kemandirian belajar peserta didik. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan pedoman observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan pedoman dokumentasi. Penelitian melibatkan seluruh populasi kelas V diantaranya terdiri dari 2 peserta didik tunanetra totally blind. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan deskripsi kemandirian belajar peserta didik, deskripsi prestasi peserta didik, deskripsi upaya serta hambatan guru dalam mengembangkan kemandirian belajar peserta didik. This research is motivated by the fact that learning independence greatly supports the success of children's learning at school, especially for children with visual impairments. The purpose of this study is to describe the learning independence of students in class V SLBN A Bandung City. The research uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach, namely providing an overview and explanation based on the disclosure in the form of words and pictures from respondents about the program in increasing students' learning independence. The data collection tool uses observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation guidelines. The research involved the entire population of class V consisting of 2 totally blind students. The results of this study show a description of students' learning independence, a description of students' achievements, a description of teachers' efforts and obstacles in developing students' learning independence.
