Abstract

Akses dan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia masih menjadi permasalahan. Menciptakan sumber daya manusia yang unggul dalam rangka menghadapi kehidupan abad ke-21 merupakan salah satu fungsi sekolah. Salah satu cara mendesain sekolah adalah dengan menerapkan konsep schooling by design (SbD) dengan menggunakan backward strategies berbasis pada konsep distributed leadership (DL). Sekolah yang didesain dengan baik diyakini mampu menghasilkan lulusan yang memiliki outcome dan impact yang baik bagi sekolah. Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan model desain sekolah yang tepat untuk mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka di Indonesia berdasarkan konsep schooling by design (SbD) dengan menggunakan backward strategies berbasis pada konsep distributed leadership (DL). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode design and development meliputi 1) Identify problem; 2) Describe the objectives; 3) Design and develop the artifact; 4) Test the artifact; 5) Evaluate the testing; 6) Communicate the testing the results. Berdasarkan hasil keseluruhan validator menyatakan bahwa model manual schooling by design (SbD) dengan presentase 97,1% menunjukkan bahwa aspek model dinyatakan “Sangat Layak” dalam menerapkan kurikulum Merdeka di sekolah dasar. Respon sekolah dari aspek kepala sekolah menyatakan sangat baik, dengan rata-rata persentase respon mencapai 90,71%. Respon guru skor rata-rata 83,40%, kategori "Sangat Baik". Kelayakan dari penelitian ini dapat dijadikan acuan bagi pemerintah maupun lembaga pendidikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan untuk mendukung pemetaan kebutuhan pengembangan kompetensi pendidik dan tenaga pendidikan. --------- Access and quality of education in Indonesia are still problems. One way to design a school is to apply the concept of schooling by design (SbD) using backward strategies based on the concept of distributed leadership (DL). A well-designed school is believed to be able to produce graduates who have good outcomes and impacts for the school. In line with this, this study aims to produce an appropriate school design model to implement the independent curriculum in Indonesia based on the concept of schooling by design (SbD) using backward strategies based on the concept of distributed leadership (DL). The method used in this study is the design and development method including 1) Identify problem; 2) Describe the objectives; 3) Design and develop the artifact; 4) Test the artifact; 5) Evaluate the testing; 6) Communicate the testing the results. Based on the overall results, the validator stated that the manual schooling by design (SbD) model with a percentage of 97.1% showed that the model aspect was declared "Very Feasible" in implementing the Independent curriculum in elementary schools. The school's response from the principal's aspect stated that it was very good, with an average percentage of responses reaching 90.71%. The teacher's response average score was 83.40%, in the "Very Good" category. The feasibility of this study can be used as a reference for the government and educational institutions in improving the quality of education to support the mapping of competency development needs of educators and education personnel.
