Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari dukungan sosial orang tua terhadap stres akademik yang dimediasi oleh motivasi belajar pada siswa SMA di Kota Bandung dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Responden mengisi kuesioner Social Provision Scale (SPS), Student-life Stres Inventory (SSI), dan Motivated Strategies for Learning Questinnaire (MSLQ) yang diadaptasi oleh peneliti. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengambilan data accidental sampling pada 411 responden yang merupakan siswa SMA/SMK/MA tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Data analisis dengan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 dengan bantuan SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) versi 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil motivasi belajar sebagai variabel mediasi dari pengaruh dukungan sosial orang tua terhadap stres akademik dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh dari dukungan sosial orang tua terhadap stres akademik pada siswa SMA di Kota Bandung yang dimediasi oleh motivasi belajar. This research aims to determine the effect of parental social support on academic stress which is mediated by learning motivation in high school students in the city of Bandung using a quantitative approach. Respondents filled out the Social Provision Scale (SPS), Student-life Stress Inventory (SSI), and Motivated Strategies for Learning Questinnaire (MSLQ) questionnaires, which were adapted by researchers. This research used accidental sampling data collection techniques on 411 respondents who were SMA/SMK/MA students for the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis techniques with a significance level of α = 0.05 with the help of SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) version 25. The results of the study showed that the results of learning motivation as a mediating variable of the influence of parental social support on academic stress had a grade significance of 0.000 (p > 0.05). Based on these results, it can be concluded that there is an influence of parental social support on academic stress in high school students in Bandung City which is mediated by learning motivation.
