Arbi Arbiansyah, - (2024) IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM KELAS INDUSTRI PADA PROGRAM KEAHLIAN TEKNIK KENDARAAN RINGAN DI SMK NEGERI 7 BALEENDAH. S1 thesis, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia.
Abstract
This research aims to evaluate the Industrial Class Program in the Light Vehicle Engineering Expertise Program at SMKN 7 Baleendah using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. The main issue addressed is the high unemployment rate of SMK graduates and the mismatch between the graduates' competencies and the needs of the automotive industry, indicating a gap between the school and the industry. This study also aims to analyze the implementation of the Industrial Class Program, starting from context, input, process, to product. The research method used is descriptive quantitative, with a population involving students of the industrial class, teachers, and program managers. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The evaluation aspects analyzed include the background, objectives, needs, and opportunities of the program (context), available resources (input), program implementation (process), and the final outcomes of the program in terms of graduate competencies (product). The results show that, in general, the Industrial Class Program at SMKN 7 Baleendah is not yet fully effective. The evaluation of the context aspect reveals an average percentage of 88.4%, indicating that the program's objectives align with industry needs. However, there are shortcomings in curriculum implementation and industry support. In the input aspect, facilities and human resources received a score of 87.5%, showing some limitations, particularly in practical facilities and teacher training. The process evaluation shows that the program's implementation scored 88.4%, but there are challenges in coordinating students' practical schedules with the industry’s schedule. The product aspect indicates that the program's graduates scored 87.1%, but there is still room to improve the absorption of graduates into the partner industry. In conclusion, the Industrial Class Program has the potential to enhance students' job readiness, but improvements are needed in program implementation, collaboration with industry, and the enhancement of facilities and human resources. Recommendations are provided to improve the program's effectiveness to better achieve its goals.
