Abstract

Pengembangan alat ukur dilakukan melalui mixed methods Model of Scale Development and Validation Analysis (MSDVA) yang menggabungkan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Student well-being describes the extent to which learners demonstrate effective academic, emotional, and social functioning within the educational environment. This research aims to develop a University Student Well-being Measurement Tool based on the PROSPER construct (positivity, relationships, outcomes, strengths, purpose, engagement, resilience). The development of the measurement tool was conducted through the mixed methods Model of Scale Development and Validation Analysis (MSDVA), which combines qualitative and quantitative approaches. Interviews were conducted with 6 students exhibiting various levels of well-being, and the interview results were used as the basis for item development. The try-out phase (N=365) yielded 17 items based on item analysis and factor model confirmation; however, one dimension was lost, necessitating the addition of 6 new items for the subsequent phase. The scale validation phase (N=614) confirmed the factor model in accordance with the PROSPER construct and met all parameter indices. The research results indicate that the university student well-being measurement tool possesses good validity and reliability, as evidenced by its correlation with the psychological well-being and subjective well-being scales,This measurement tool is expected to contribute to the educational domain in assessing and enhancing student well-being
