Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya kesenjangan antara ketersediaan sumber informasi dengan kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa Universitas Sebelas April Sumedang. Kondisi tersebut diperparah dengan datangnya wabah pandemi covid-19. Hal itu tentunya bertolak belakang dengan perlunya kemampuan literasi informasi dengan ketersediaan sumber informasi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan antara kemampuan literasi informasi dengan pemanfaatan sumber informasi di perpustakaan Universitas Sebelas April yang dilihat dari literasi informasi yaitu model Seven Pillar of Information literacy yang meliputi identify, scope, plan, gather, evaluate, manage dan present juga sumber informasi meliputi sumber primer, sumber sekunder, sumber tersier, sumber komputer dan internet. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif korelasional. Sebagai subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa aktif Universitas Sebelas April pada tahun akademik 2022/2023 sebanyak 6.871 orang, adapun untuk menentukan jumlah sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik Random Sampling dengan rumus Solvin sehingga didapat jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 responden. Kemudian teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan google form berupa kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi Sperman Rank. Hasil dari pada penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan kuat serta signifikan antara kemampuan literasi informasi dengan pemanfaatan sumber informasi. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan kemampuan literasi informasi dan sumber informasi yang berkategori baik. Mahasiswa Universitas Sebelas April diharapkan untuk dapat mengoptimalkan kembali untuk memanfaatkan sumber informasi yang terdapat diperpustakaan serta kerjasama dengan lembaga lain. This research is motivated by the existence of a gap between the availability of information sources and the information needs of Sumedang Sebelas April University students. This condition was exacerbated by the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is certainly contrary to the need for information literacy skills with the availability of information sources to meet individual needs. This study aims to describe the relationship between information literacy skills and the utilization of information sources in the Sebelas April University library as seen from information literacy, namely the Seven Pillars of Information literacy model which includes identify, scope, plan, gather, evaluate, manage and present as well as information sources including primary sources, secondary sources, tertiary sources, computer and internet sources. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational method. As research subjects, there were 6,871 active students at Sebelas April University in the 2022/2023 academic year. Meanwhile, to determine the number of samples, a random sampling technique was used with the Solvin formula to obtain a total sample of 100 respondents. Then the data collection technique using the Google form in the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis using Sperm Rank correlation. The results of the study show that there is a strong and significant relationship between information literacy skills and the utilization of information sources. This is proven by information literacy skills and information sources that are categorized as good. April Eleven University students are expected to be able to re-optimize to utilize information sources in the library and collaborate with other institutions.
