Abstract
Peningkatan daya saing menjadi salah satu kebutuhan guna mempertahankan keberadaan suatu lembaga pendidikan, terutama lembaga pendidikan swasta. Dalam hal ini, sosok pemimpin memiliki peran yang sangat penting. Kepemimpinan visioner merupakan salah satu gaya kepemimpinan yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan yang muncul, baik dari perubahan lingkungan pendidikan maupun perkembangan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kepemimpinan visioner di Madrasah Aliyah (MA) dan menganalisis kondisi pendidikan era digital serta daya saing madrasah. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengeksplorasi faktor pendorong dan penghambat kepemimpinan visioner dalam meningkatkan daya saing MA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan visioner di MA ditandai dengan visi yang jelas, kolaborasi yang baik dengan pemangku kepentingan, dan adaptasi terhadap perubahan teknologi. Di era digital, MA menghadapi tantangan berupa kebutuhan akan integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran, namun juga memiliki peluang untuk memperkuat daya saing melalui program-program unggulan yang dimiliki. Daya saing MA besar dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan dimana MA berada, serta keunggulan yang dimiliki oleh MA. Disamping itu, kualitas sumber daya manusia, pengelolaan teknologi, serta dukungan masyarakat dan pemerintah juga menjadi faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kondisi daya saing MA. Faktor pendorong kepemimpinan visioner meliputi adanya perubahan serta upaya untuk meningkatkan daya saing itu sendiri. Sebaliknya, faktor penghambat mencakup keterbatasan sumber daya. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan sarana dan prasarana, pelatihan dan pengembangan SDM, peningkatan kerja sama, serta penguatan brand MA untuk menghadapi tantangan era digital dan meningkatkan daya saing madrasah. Enhancing competitiveness has become one of the essential needs for sustaining the existence of educational institutions, particularly private institutions. In this context, the role of a leader is highly significant. Visionary leadership is one leadership style that can be implemented to address various challenges arising from changes in the educational environment and technological advancements. This study aims to describe visionary leadership in Madrasah Aliyah (MA), analyze the state of education in the digital era, and evaluate the competitiveness of madrasahs. Furthermore, it explores the driving and inhibiting factors of visionary leadership in enhancing the competitiveness of MA. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method. The findings indicate that visionary leadership in MA is characterized by a clear vision, effective collaboration with stakeholders, and adaptability to technological changes. In the digital era, MA faces challenges such as the need for technology integration in learning while also having opportunities to strengthen competitiveness through its flagship programs. The competitiveness of MA is significantly influenced by its surrounding environment and its inherent strengths. Additionally, the quality of human resources, technology management, and support from the community and government are critical factors affecting MA's competitive condition. The driving factors of visionary leadership include the necessity for change and efforts to enhance competitiveness itself. Conversely, inhibiting factors encompass resource limitations. This study recommends improving facilities and infrastructure, providing training and human resource development, enhancing collaboration, and strengthening the brand identity of MA to address the challenges of the digital era and increase madrasah competitiveness.
