Abstract
Kata kunci: pendekatan teknik, siswa sekolah dasar, handball like games This research was motivated by the lack of knowledge among children about the sport of handball and wanted to compare the application of a technical approach with handball like games which showed significant improvement. The aim of this research is to compare the application of a technical approach with handball like games. Quasi-experimental research method with the design used in this research is the two group Pretest-Posttest Design. In this research, students were divided into 2 experimental groups, where there was a group division between experimental group 1 and experimental group 2, experimental group 1 was treated with the application of a technical approach while experimental group 2 was treated with the application of handball like games. The population in this study were grade IV elementary school students at SDN TENJOLAYA 03. The sample for this study was 28 students using random sampling techniques. The instrument used in this research is GPAI (Game Performance Assessment Instrument). The research results showed that the application of the engineering approach had a significant improvement. From the results of the t-test that has been carried out, there is a significant comparison in the application of the technical approach with handball like games to the results of learning the game. Key words: technical approach, elementary school students, handball like game
