Abstract

Civic knowledge merupakan kompetensi penting yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa untuk menjadi smart and good citizen. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan pengetahuan siswa berdasarkan rata-rata hasil ulangan harian yang masih rendah dan pembelajaran yang hanya berpusat kepada guru. Oleh karenanya, penelitian ini ingin memberikan solusi alternatif melalui penggunaan model two stay two stray. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana efektivitas model pembelajaran two stay two stray untuk meningkatkan civic knowledge siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling, dengan populasi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Bandung, diperoleh kelas X-F sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan kelas X-E sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data melalui tes soal pilihan ganda dan angket tanggapan siswa. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji N-gain, dan uji-t hipotesis. Penelitian ini menghasilkan: (1) Civic knowledge siswa pada kelas eksperimen memperlihatkan peningkatan yang signifikan. (2) Pada kelas kontrol, civic knowledge siswa mengalami peningkatan, tetapi tidak signifikan seperti pada kelas eksperimen. (3) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan civic knowledge yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model two stay two stray dan kelas kontrol dengan model presentasi dan tanya-jawab kelompok. (4) Rata-rata siswa memberikan tanggapan yang baik dan positif terhadap penggunaan model two stay two stray. Kesimpulan yang dihasilkan dari penelitian ini ialah model two stay two stray efektif untuk meningkatkan civic knowledge siswa dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Civic knowledge is an important competency that must be mastered by students to become smart and good citizens. This research is motivated by students' knowledge ability based on the low average daily test results and teacher-centered learning. Therefore, this research wants to provide an alternative solution through the use of the two stay two stray learning model. This research aims to find out how effective the two stay two stray learning model is to increase students' civic knowledge in learning Pancasila Education. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a Non-equivalent control group research design. The sample was determined using a non probability sampling technique, based on the population of class X students at SMA Negeri 2 Bandung, class X-F was obtained as an experimental class, and class X-E as a control class. Data collection through multiple-choice question tests and student response questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, N-gain tests, and hypothesis t-tests. This research produced: (1) Student’s civic knowledge in the experimental class showed a significant improvement. (2) In the control class, students' civic knowledge also improvement, but not as significantly as in the experimental class. (3) There was a significant difference in civic knowledge improvement between the experimental class using the two stay two stray model and the control class with the presentation and group question-and-answer model. (4) On average, students gave a good and positive response to the use of the two stay two stray model. The conclusion resulting from this research is that the two stay two stray model is effective to improvement students' civic knowledge in learning Pancasila Education.
