Karel Juniardi kareljuniardi82@gmail.com Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia PENGEMBANGAN MODEL BAHAN AJAR DIGITAL BERBASIS KEHIDUPAN MULTIKULTURAL (BARDIKEM) UNTUK MEMPERKUAT SIKAP SOSIAL SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPS SMP DI KOTA SINGKAWANG Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya potensi konflik intoleran antar etnis di Kota Singkawang sebagai Kota Paling Toleran di Indonesia serta belum adanya bahan ajar digital berbasis kehidupan multikultural dalam pembelajaran IPS SMP di Kota Singkawang. Tujuan penelitian ini ingin mendeskripsikan penggunaan bahan ajar IPS SMP bermuatan kehidupan multikultural sebelum model BARDIKEM dikembangkan dan digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPS SMP di Kota Singkawang, serta merancang, mengembangkan, mengimplementasikan, dan menilai model bahan ajar digital berbasis kehidupan multikultural (BARDIKEM) untuk memperkuat sikap sosial siswa pada pembelajaran IPS SMP di Kota Singkawang, dan mengukur peningkatan sikap sosial siswa setelah menggunakan model BARDIKEM dalam pembelajaran IPS SMP di Kota Singkawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development dengan tahapan penelitian studi pendahuluan, pengembangan model, dan uji coba model. Studi pendahuluan dilakukan dengan studi literatur, analisis dokumen perangkat pembelajaran dan kurikulum, obseervasi, dan wawancara. Perancangan dan pengembangan model dilakukan berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan dan analisis kebutuhan bahan ajar digital dalam pembelajaran IPS di Kota Singkawang. Sedangkan uji coba model BARDIKEM dilaksanakan dengan uji coba terbatas dan uji coba luas pada 5 sekolah setingkat SMP di Kota Singkawang dengan teknik kuasi eksperimen. Data diperoleh melalui tes sikap yang dianalisis dengan teknik statistik uji beda atau uji T (T-test) dan penilaian penggunaan model BARDIKEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Guru IPS dalam pembelajaran IPS SMP di Kota Singkawang menggunakan buku teks IPS yang dilengkapi buku lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) yang berisi materi lebih bersifat nasional, sehingga muatan materi yang bersifat lokal dan kontekstual kehidupan multikultural di Kota Singkawang dalam bahan ajar IPS yang digunakan guru IPS masih sangat kurang; 2) Perancangan dan pengembangan model BARDIKEM dilakukan dengan menghasilkan produk berupa Panduan Pengembangan Model BARDIKEM, Materi Model BARDIKEM, dan Modul Ajar Pembelajaran IPS Menggunakan Model BARDIKEM; 3) Implementasi model BARDIKEM dalam pembelajaran IPS berlangsung dengan baik dan penilaian penggunaan model BARDIKEM dinilai dengan baik karena materi model BARDIKEM sangat jelas dan mudah dimengerti peserta didik, serta efektif digunakan sehingga peserta didik menjadi aktif, antusias, dan termotivasi mengikuti pembelajaran IPS; 4) Terjadi peningkatan sikap sosial peserta didik setelah penerapan model BARDIKEM. Terdapat perbedaan secara statistik peningkatan indikator sikap sosial peserta didik SMP Kota Singkawang antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol, yaitu diperoleh bahwa semua rata-rata N-gain kelompok eksperimen lebih besar dibanding kelompok kontrol. Hal ini berarti bahwa pembelajaran IPS menggunakan model BARDIKEM efektif digunakan dalam memperkuat sikap sosial peserta didik. Karel Juniardi kareljuniardi82@gmail.com Indonesian Education University Postgraduate School DEVELOPMENT OF A DIGITAL TEACHING MATERIAL MODEL BASED ON MULTICULTURAL LIFE (BARDIKEM) TO STRENGTHEN STUDENTS’ SOCIAL ATTITUDES IN JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL SOCIAL STUDIES LEARNING IN SINGKAWANG CITY Abstract This research was motivated by the potential for intolerant conflict between ethnic groups in Singkawang City as the Most Tolerant City in Indonesia and the absence of digital teaching materials based on multicultural life in junior high school social studies learning in Singkawang City. The aim of this research is to describe the use of junior high school social studies teaching materials containing multicultural life before the BARDIKEM model was developed and used in junior high school social studies learning in Singkawang City, as well as designing, developing, implementing, and assessing the digital teaching material model based on multicultural life (BARDIKEM) to strengthen social attitudes students in junior high school social studies learning in Singkawang City, and measuring the increase in students’ social attitudes after using the BARDIKEM model in junior high school social studies learning in Singkawang City. This research uses the Research and Development method with research stages of preliminary study, model development, and model testing. Preliminary studies were carried out using literature studies, document analysis of learning tools and curricula, observations and interviews. The design and development of the model was carried out based on the results of a preliminary study and analysis of the need for digital teaching materials in social studies learning in Singkawang City. Meanwhile, the BARDIKEM model trial was carried out with limited trials and extensive trials in 5 junior high schools in Singkawang City using quasi-experimental techniques. Data was obtained through an attitude test which was analyzed using the statistical technique of difference test or T-test and assessment of the use of the BARDIKEM model. The results of the research show that: 1) Social studies teachers in junior high school social studies learning in Singkawang City use social studies textbooks which are equipped with student worksheet books (LKPD) which contain more national material, so that the content of the material is local and contextual to multicultural life in Singkawang City in the social studies teaching materials used by social studies teachers are still very lacking; 2) The design and development of the BARDIKEM model is carried out by producing products in the form of a BARDIKEM Model Development Guide, BARDIKEM Model Material, and Social Sciences Teaching and Learning Module Using the BARDIKEM Model; 3) The implementation of the BARDIKEM model in social studies learning is going well and the assessment of the effectiveness of using the BARDIKEM model is considered good because the BARDIKEM model materials is very clear and easy for students to understand, and is effectively used so that students become active, enthusiastic and motivated to make part in social studies learning; 4) There was an increase in students’ social attitudes after implementing the BARDIKEM model. There is a statistical difference in the increase in social attitude indicators of Singkawang City junior high school students between the experimental group and the control group, namely that the average N-gain of the experimental group is greater than that of the control group. This means that social studies learning using the BARDIKEM model is effective in strengthening students’ social attitudes.
