Abstract

Mata kuliah praktik industri pada program studi Pendidian Teknologi Agroindustri bertujuan untuk memberikan pengalaman kepada mahasiswa terkait proses pengolahan pangan di industri. Mahasiswa diharapkan dapat menerapkan soft skill dan hard skill yang diperoleh selama perkuliahan saat pelaksanaan praktik industri selama 1 semester. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mengetahui faktor soft skill dan hard skill serta faktor penghambat utama soft skill dan hard skill yang menghambat pelaksanaan praktik industri; (2) Memberikan rekomendasi kepada program studi untuk mengatasi faktor penghambat utama pelaksanaan praktik industri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan memberikan angket yang berisi 25 pernyataan kepada 71 responden. Hasil rekapitulasi angket selanjutnya diolah menjadi diagram pareto untuk mengetahui faktor utama pada aspek soft skill dan hard skill yang menjadi penghambat praktik industi. Pemilihan faktor penghambat utama didasarkan pada pernyataan dengan jumlah responden yang paling banyak memilih kategori “sering” dan “selalu”. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor penghambat utama pada aspek soft skill yaitu pada aspek problem solving dan komunikasi, sedangkan aspek hard skill yaitu aspek pembelajaran dan literasi. Adapun pemilihan rekomendasi kebijakan didasarkan pada metode triangulasi yaitu melakukan wawancara kepada responden yang memilih kategori “sering” dan “selalu” pada faktor penghambat utama. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan rekomendasi kebijakan untuk aspek komunikasi adalah pembelajaran dua arah, dan keaktifan mengikuti kegiatan organisasi. Adapun aspek problem solving adalah melalui kegiatan praktikum. Untuk aspek pembelajaran dengan memberikan pembekalan materi dan pelatihan sebelum praktik industri, dan aspek literasi adalah dengan memberikan pemberian penjelasan mengenai ketentuan dan contoh pemilihan topik untuk judul laporan pada saat sosialisasi praktik industri. The industrial practice course in the Agro-industrial Technology Education study program aims to provide students with experience regarding food processing in industry. Students are expected to be able to apply the soft skills and hard skills acquired during lectures during industrial practice for 1 semester. This research aims to (1) Find out soft skill and hard skill factors as well as the main inhibiting factors for soft skills and hard skills that hinder the implementation of industrial practices; (2) Provide recommendations to study programs to overcome the main inhibiting factors in implementing industrial practices. This research used a quantitative descriptive method by giving a questionnaire containing 25 statements to 71 respondents. The results of the questionnaire recapitulation are then processed into a Pareto diagram to determine the main factors in the soft skill and hard skill aspects that hinder industrial practice. The selection of the main inhibiting factors was based on statements with the largest number of respondents choosing the categories "often" and "always". The research results show that the main inhibiting factors in the soft skill aspect are the problem solving and communication aspects, while the hard skill aspect is the learning and literacy aspect. The selection of policy recommendations is based on the triangulation method, namely conducting interviews with respondents who choose the categories "often" and "always" on the main inhibiting factors. The interview results show that the policy recommendations for the communication aspect are two-way learning, and actively participating in organizational activities. As for problem-solving aspect is through practical activities. The learning aspect is by providing materials and training before industrial practice, and the literacy aspect is by providing explanations regarding provisions and examples of topic selection for report titles during industrial practice socialization.
