Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pelaksanaan Program Penguatan Profesional Kependidikan (P3K) terhadap pemahaman kompetensi guru SMK pada mahasiswa calon guru Fakultas Pendidikan Teknik dan Industri (FPTI) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Program P3K merupakan bagian dari kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) yang bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan mahasiswa menjadi guru profesional yang kompeten di abad ke-21. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif-korelasional. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen kuesioner sebagai data utama penelitian dan wawancara sebagai data tambahan penelitian. Data dikumpulkan dari 87 mahasiswa FPTI yang telah menyelesaikan program P3K pada semester ganjil tahun akademik 2023/2024. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan regresi logistik ordinal dengan bantuan program IBM SPSS Statistics 27. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan P3K pada semester ganjil tahun akademik 2023/2024 oleh mahasiswa FPTI UPI telah terlaksana dengan kategori sangat efektif, namun pemahaman kompetensi guru SMK pada mahasiswa setelah menyelesaikan program P3K berada pada kategori cukup baik. Terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara efektivitas pelaksanaan P3K terhadap pemahaman kompetensi guru SMK pada mahasiswa praktikan P3K FPTI UPI, meskipun persentase kontribusinya tidak kuat. Hasil wawancara dengan mahasiswa praktikan P3K menunjukkan bahwa P3K memperkuat pemahaman teori dan praktik kompetensi guru SMK yang diperoleh mahasiswa selama perkuliahan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penanaman kompetensi guru telah dilakukan secara bertahap selama perkuliahan. Proses ini telah memberikan landasan teori yang kuat untuk pengembangan keterampilan praktis mahasiswa selama pelaksanaan P3K. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Educational Professional Strengthening Program (P3K) on vocational school teachers' competency understanding among student teachers at the Faculty of Technical and Vocational Education (FPTI) of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The P3K program is part of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy, which aims to prepare students to become competent professional teachers in the 21st century. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational method. The data collection technique utilizes a questionnaire as the main research instrument and interviews as supplementary data. Data were collected from 87 FPTI students who completed the P3K program during the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The data were analyzed using ordinal logistic regression with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 27 software. The results show that the P3K implementation in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year by FPTI UPI students was classified as very effective, but the understanding of vocational school teachers' competency among students after completing the P3K program was categorized as moderately good. There is a positive and significant influence between the effectiveness of P3K implementation and the understanding of vocational school teachers' competencies among P3K internship students at FPTI UPI, although the percentage of its contribution is not strong. Interviews with P3K internship students revealed that the P3K program strengthened both the theoretical and practical understanding of vocational school teachers' competencies that students had acquired during their studies. These findings indicate that the cultivation of teaching competencies has been carried out gradually during the coursework. This process has provided a strong theoretical foundation for the development of students' practical skills during the P3K program implementation.
