Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan yang terjadi di kelas yakni kurangnya kemampuan komunikasi asosiatif pada peserta didik. Hal ini disebabkan karena peserta didik memiliki sifat kepercayaan diri yang rendah sehingga kurang memiliki kemampuan komunikasi dalam bekerjasama untuk menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas VII-C SMP Negeri 29 Bandung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan guru dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan gambaran kemampuan komunikasi asosiatif peserta didik setelah menggunakan metode Treasure Hunt dalam pembelajaran IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart Spiral yang dilakukan sebanyak tiga siklus. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan peserta didik, lembar observasi kemampuan komunikasi asosiatif peserta didik, dokumen, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Adapun hasil penelitian Pertama yakni Perencanaan penelitian seperti observasi awal untuk mengidentifikasi masalah pembelajaran, Konsultasi rutin dengan dosen pembimbing serta guru mantra IPS, Persiapan materi, instrumen penelitian, mempersiapkan metode Treasure Hunt , dan merancang pengolahan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Kedua, Pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS dengan metode Treasure Hunt Terdiri dari Empat Fase: penyajian, mengingat, pengembangan, dan evaluasi. Ketiga, Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi asosiatif meningkat dari 33% pada siklus I menjadi 93% pada siklus III yang mana mencapai target minimum ketercapaian indikator secara klasikal (69%), Peserta didik menunjukkan kemajuan dalam berbagai aspek komunikasi.Terakhir, kendala dan solusi Kendala meliputi persiapan, kondusivitas kelas, masalah teknis, dan partisipasi peserta didik, adapun Solusi termasuk pemberian reward, apresiasi, pertanyaan motivasi, perbaikan cara penyampaian materi, dan pendampingan kelompok. Berdasarkan data penelitian, penerapan metode Treasure Hunt dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi asosiatif kelas tujuh sekolah menengan pertama. This research is motivated by the problems that occur in the classroom, namely the lack of associative communication skills in students. This is because students have low self-confidence so that they lack communication skills in working together to complete the tasks given in social studies learning in class VII-C SMP Negeri 29 Bandung. The purpose of this study is to describe the teacher in planning, implementation, and description of students' associative communication skills after using Treasure Hunt method in social studies learning. This research used Classroom Action Research method with Kemmis and Mc Taggart Spiral model which was conducted in three cycles. The data collection tools used were teacher and student activity observation sheets, student associative communication skills observation sheets, documents, field notes, and documentation. The results of the study First, Research planning such as initial observations to identify learning problems, regular consultations with supervisors and social studies teachers, preparation of materials, research instruments, and Treasure Hunt methods, and designing quantitative and qualitative data processing. Second, the implementation of social studies learning with the Treasure Hunt method consists of four phases: presentation, remembering, development, and evaluation. Third, Improvement of associative communication skills Increased from 33% in cycle I to 93% in cycle III which reached the minimum target of classical indicator achievement (69%), Learners showed progress in various aspects of communication.Lastly, constraints and solutions Constraints include preparation, class conduciveness, technical problems, and learner participation, while Solutions include giving rewards, appreciation, motivational questions, improving how to deliver material, and group assistance. Based on the research data, the application of the Treasure Hunt method can improve the associative communication skills of seventh grade.
