Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara stres dengan simtom gangguan makan pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Bandung yang sedang mengerjakan skripsi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 283 Mahasiswa Sarjana S1 Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia yang terdiri dari jurusan Administrasi Pendidikan, Bimbingan dan Konseling, Pendidikan Masyarakat, Pendidikan Khusus, Teknologi Pendidikan, Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar, Pendidikan Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, dan Perpustakaan dan Sains Informasi yang sedang mengontrak tugas akhir skripsi dari Angkatan 2017 hingga 2020. Instrumen Stres dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada aspek dan indikator yang dikemukakan oleh Cohen (1983) dan Instrumen Simtom Gangguan Makan mengacu pada aspek dan indikator yang dikemukakan oleh DSM-5 (2013). Analisis data yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode analisis statistik deskriptif, statistik inferensial, dan Kruskal-Wallis dan Mann-Whitney untuk uji beda. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa stres memiliki hubungan yang tinggi dengan simtom gangguan makan (spearman’s rho = 0.742).

This study aims to examine the relationship between stress and eating disorder symptoms among students of the Faculty of Education Sciences at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia who are working on their thesis. The research involves 283 undergraduate students from the Faculty of Education Sciences, including those from the departments of Educational Administration, Guidance and Counseling, Community Education, Special Education, Educational Technology, Elementary School Teacher Education, Early Childhood Education, and Library and Information Science, who are in the process of completing their thesis from the 2017 to 2020 cohorts. The stress instrument in this study refers to the aspects and indicators proposed by Cohen (1983), and the Eating Disorder Symptoms instrument refers to the aspects and indicators outlined in the DSM-5 (2013). The data analysis used a quantitative approach with descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney tests for differences. The results indicate that stress has a strong relationship with eating disorder symptoms (Spearman’s rho = 0.742).
