Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pembelajaran IPS yang meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi yang dilakukan pada anak berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah inklusi. Berdasarkan pra-penelitian ditemukan permasalahan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS di sekolah inklusi tidak selalu menerapkan inklusifitas pada pembelajaran di kelas yang menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan anak berkebutuhan khusus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS pada anak berkebutuhan khusus di sekolah inklusi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Obyek penelitian dilakukan di SMP Mutiara Bunda Kota Bandung sebagai sekolah pelopor adanya penerapan sekolah inklusi di Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS di SMP Mutiara Bunda sudah menerapkan pembelajaran sesuai dengan setting pendidikan inklusi yang meliputi: (1) Seluruh komponen pembelajaran berupa perencanaan, pelaksanaan, hingga evaluasi pembelajaran sudah disesuaikan dengan hambatan dan kebutuhan peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus; (2) peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus didampingi oleh guru pendamping khusus secara maksimal; (3) sarana dan pra-sarana sekolah sudah disiapkan untuk mendukung kemampuan peserta didik secara optimal; (4) kendala yang ditemukan terkait kefokusan peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus pada saat pembelajaran yang tidak bisa terlalu lama dalam memperhatikan pembelajaran; (5) upaya yang dilakukan dalam menyelesaikan kendala berupa pendampingan dan treatment khusus yang diberikan oleh guru pendamping khusus kepada peserta didik berkebutuhan khusus. This research discusses social studies learning covering planning, implementation, and evaluation conducted for children with special needs in inclusive schools. Based on the pre-research, the problem found was that the implementation of social studies learning in inclusive schools does not always apply inclusivity in classroom learning that is tailored to the needs of children with special needs. The purpose of this research is to determine the implementation of social studies learning for children with special needs in inclusive schools. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The research was conducted at Mutiara Bunda Junior High School in Bandung, as a pioneering school for the application of inclusive education in Bandung. The results of the study show that the implementation of social studies learning at Mutiara Bunda Junior High School has already implemented learning in accordance with the inclusive education setting, which includes: (1) all components of learning, from planning, implementation, to evaluation of learning, have been adjusted to the obstacles and needs of students with special needs; (2) students with special needs are accompanied by special education teachers to the maximum extent; (3) school facilities and infrastructure have been prepared to support the optimal abilities of students; (4) constraints found related to the focus of students with special needs during learning, which cannot be too long to pay attention to learning; (5) efforts made to overcome constraints include mentoring and special treatment given by special education teachers to students with special needs.
