Abstract
Pandemi telah membawa perubahan signifikan di bidang pendidikan dan seni, seperti memengaruhi kegiatan pelatihan paduan suara di sekolah. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana pelaksanaan, hasil, dan dampak kegiatan pelatihan paduan suara SMA Negeri 1 Ciparay secara daring dimasa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Subjek penelitian (partisipan) meliputi, pelatih paduan suara, dan empat perwakilan ambitus (Sopran, Alto, Tenor, dan Bass). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kegiatan mampu dilaksanakan sesuai target karena semua pihak yang terlibat mampu meminimalisir kekurangan dan hambatan. Kegiatan daring mendorong anggota menjadi lebih giat dan sadar untuk berlatih dan memahami kemampuan diri sendiri. Selain itu, peran aktif pelatih menjadi faktor kunci untuk menjaga kualitas pelatihan. Adapun upaya yang berhasil dilakukan yaitu, penggunaan metode latihan dan drill, demonstrasi, imitasi, controlling (pengawasan), serta diskusi. Namun, jika diamati secara choral sound, pelatihan daring ini kurang mendekati maksimal dan tidak begitu efektif dibandingkan dengan pelatihan secara langsung (luring). Kesimpulan menunjukkan mereka mampu memberikan penampilan yang baik, sehingga bisa dinikmati para audiens dan dapat mempertahankan eksistensi paduan suara. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pengembangan metode pelatihan paduan suara yang efektif dimasa depan, baik dalam kondisi normal maupun darurat. The pandemic has caused major changes in education and the arts, affecting school choir activities. This research explores how online choral training was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Ciparay during the COVID-19 pandemic, including its implementation, results, and impact. The study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data was collected through interviews, observations, document analysis, and literature review. Participants included choral trainers and four representatives from different vocal ranges (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass). The findings show that the online training met its goals because everyone involved could overcome challenges and minimize problems—online training motivated members to practice more diligently and understand their abilities better. The active role of the trainers was crucial for maintaining training quality. Successful strategies included using training methods and drills, demonstrations, imitation, supervision, and discussions. However, in terms of choral sound, online training was less effective compared to in-person training. The conclusion is that they managed to deliver good performances that were enjoyed by the audience and helped maintain the choir’s presence. This research is expected to help develop effective vocal training methods for both normal and emergencies in the future.
