Abstract

Interaksi teman sebaya menjadi salah satu faktor pendorong motivasi belajar peserta didik, sehingga interaksi teman sebaya menjadi penentu dalam mengembangkan motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam kelas. Fakta dilapangan menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik motivasi belajarnya tergolong rendah, dapat dilihat ketika peserta didik tidak mengerjakan tugas dengan tepat waktu, mencontek, bolos sekolah, dan kurang rajin dalam belajarnya walaupun teman sebayanya pintar. Tujuan penelitian ini secara umum yaitu bagaimana hubungan interaksi teman sebaya terhadap motivasi belajar. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu Kuantitatif dengan metode Korelasional. Penelitian ini memiliki sampel berjumlah 77 peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkatan interaksi teman sebaya peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Negeri 44 Bandung berdasarkan persentase sebagian besar berada pada kategori “sedang” dengan persentase sebesar 67%, tingkatan motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Negeri 44 Bandung berdasarkan persentase sebagian besar berada pada kategori “sedang” dengan persentase sebesar 62%, terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara interaksi teman sebaya dengan motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas VII di SMP Negeri 44 Bandung dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.539 > 0,05 menunjukkan hubungan dengan kategori sedang. Kontribusi interaksi teman sebaya terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik yakni sebesar 28.1% sedangkan sisanya 71.9% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Peer interaction is one of the factors driving students' learning motivation, so peer interaction is a determinant in developing students' learning motivation in the classroom. Facts in the field show that students have low learning motivation, it can be seen when students do not do assignments on time, cheat, skip school, and are less diligent in their studies even though their peers are smart. The purpose of this study in general is how the relationship between peer interaction and learning motivation. The approach used is Quantitative with Correlational methods. This study has a sample of 77 students. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the level of peer interaction of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 44 Bandung based on the percentage is mostly in the "moderate" category with a percentage of 67%, the level of learning motivation of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 44 Bandung based on the percentage is mostly in the "moderate" category with a percentage of 62%, there is a positive and significant relationship between peer interaction and learning motivation of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 44 Bandung with a correlation coefficient value of 0.539> 0.05 indicating a relationship with the “moderate” category. The contribution of peer interaction to student learning motivation is 28.1% while the remaining 71.9% is influenced by other factors not examined.
