Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menguji pengaruh keberfungsian keluarga terhadap penyesuaian diri pada mahasiswa baru di Kota Bandung yang dimediasi oleh efikasi diri. Responden yang didapatkan dari teknik pengambilan sampel non-probability adalah sebanyak 367 mahasiswa baru. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Short Version of Family Assessment Device (FAD), Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ), dan General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES). Analisis regresi linear sederhana dan uji bootstrap Process Mediation Model digunakan sebagai teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan bahwa efikasi diri memediasi pengaruh keberfungsian keluarga terhadap penyesuaian diri. Selain itu ditemukan bahwa keberfungsian keluarga memiliki pengaruh secara langsung dalam memprediksi penyesuaian diri, keberfungsian keluarga berpengaruh terhadap efikasi diri, dan efikasi diri memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penyesuaian diri. This study was conducted to examine the influence of family functioning on adjustment in first-year university students in Bandung, mediated by self-efficacy. The sample, selected using a non-probability sampling technique, consisted of 367 first-year students. The instruments used in this study were the Short Version of the Family Assessment Device (FAD), the Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire (SACQ), and the General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES). Simple linear regression analysis and the bootstrap Process Mediation Model were employed as data analysis techniques in this research. The findings revealed that self-efficacy mediates the impact of family functioning on adjustment. Additionally, it was found that family functioning directly predicts adjustment, family functioning affects self-efficacy, and self-efficacy has a significant effect on adjustment.
