Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi guru terhadap kesiapan bersekolah anak untuk masuk sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dengan tiga guru. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan guru memiliki persepsi bahwa kesiapan bersekolah sangat penting disiapkan sebelum anak masuk sekolah dasar. Adapun indikator kesiapan bersekolah yang perlu disiapkan oleh anak sebelum masuk sekolah dasar meliputi, aspek perkembangan kognitif, motorik, bahasa, sosial, dan emosi. Kesiapan bersekolah ini sangat bermanfaat bagi anak saat ia berada di jenjang sekolah dasar nanti, karena anak yang sudah memiliki kesiapan bersekolah salah satu manfaatnya adalah anak akan lebih mudah untuk menerima pembelajaran di sekolah dasar, hal ini disebabkan anak sudah mendapatkan pendidikan dasar sejak ia menempuh jenjang di TK. Namun, kesiapan bersekolah ini tidak hanya bermanfaat bagi anak saja, orang tua juga mendapatkan manfaatnya, seperti orang tua hanya sebagai fasilitator anak, artinya orang tua tidak perlu menyiapkan buku serta mengerjakan PR anak, orang tua hanya perlu mengingatkan dan mendampingi anak di rumah. Munculnya kesiapan bersekolah ini dikarenakan faktor lingkungan keluarga dan sekolah. Guru di TK mengungkapkan bahwa faktor paling utama yang dapat memengaruhi munculnya kesiapan bersekolah pada anak adalah orang tua, karena orang tua memiliki waktu lebih banyak dengan anak di rumah. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini penulis berharap agar guru tetap selalu mengembangkan kegiatan-kegiatan yang menarik dalam menyiapkan kesiapan bersekolah pada anak. This study aims to determine teachers' perceptions of children's school readiness to enter elementary school. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques using interviews with three teachers. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that teachers have the perception that school readiness is very important to prepare before children enter elementary school. The indicators of school readiness that need to be prepared by children before entering elementary school include aspects of cognitive, motor, language, social, and emotional development. This school readiness is very beneficial for children when they are in elementary school later, because children who already have school readiness, one of the benefits is that children will find it easier to accept learning in elementary school, this is because children have received basic education since they were in kindergarten. However, this school readiness is not only beneficial for children, parents also get benefits, such as parents only as child facilitators, meaning parents do not need to prepare books and do their children's homework, parents only need to remind and accompany their children at home. The emergence of this school readiness is due to family and school environmental factors. Kindergarten teachers revealed that the most important factor that can influence the emergence of school readiness in children is parents, because parents have more time with their children at home. The recommendation from this study is that the author hopes that teachers will continue to develop interesting activities in preparing school readiness in children.
