Abstract

Kepemimpinan transformasional, yang menekankan ideal, inspirasi, stimulasi intelektual, dan perhatian individu, dianggap mampu membawa perubahan positif dalam pendidikan. Selain itu, pengembangan Professional Learning Community (PLC) di sekolah dapat meningkatkan profesionalisme dan kompetensi guru melalui kolaborasi dan pembelajaran bersama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan implementasi kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dan pembinaan Professional Learning Community (PLC) di Sekolah Dasar, serta menggambarkan kepemimpinan transformasional dalam pembinaan PLC tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena kepemimpinan transformasional penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan salah satunya seperti kurangnya kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran atau dalam kata lain kurangnya profesionalisme. Profesionalisme guru belum optimal, hal tersebut tercermin dari rendahnya hasil Uji Kompetensi Guru (UKG). Pengembangan Professional Learning Community (PLC) melalui kepemimpinan transformasional diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru, sehingga kualitas pendidikan meningkat sesuai dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Peneliti menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah di SDN 019 Pabaki, SDN 023 Pajagalan, dan SDN 092 Cibadak Andir Bandung meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dan kualitas Pendidikan disekolah. Selain itu, implementasi Professional Learning Community (PLC) di ketiga sekolah tersebut berhasil meningkatkan pembelajaran dan efisiensi administratif. Dukungan kepala sekolah dalam membimbing, mendorong inovasi, serta kolaborasi dan pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan menciptakan budaya sekolah yang harmonis dan inovatif. Diharapkan hasil temuan ini mendorong penerapan kepemimpinan transformasional lebih luas di sekolah sekolah, memperkuat implementasi Professional Learning Community (PLC), dan meningkatkan kolaborasi serta pengembangan profesional guru, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang lebih berkualitas dan inovatif. Transformational leadership, which emphasizes idealized influence, inspiration, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration, is considered capable of bringing positive changes to education. Additionally, the development of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in schools can enhance teacher professionalism and competence through collaboration and shared learning. This study aims to describe the implementation of transformational leadership by school principals and the development of PLCs in elementary schools, as well as to depict transformational leadership in the development of PLCs. This research was conducted because transformational leadership is crucial for improving the quality of education, particularly in addressing issues such as teachers' lack of ability to manage learning, or in other words, insufficient professionalism. Teacher professionalism is not yet optimal, as reflected in the low results of the Teacher Competency Test (UKG). The development of PLCs through transformational leadership is expected to improve teacher competence, thereby enhancing educational quality in line with national education goals. The researcher used a qualitative method with a descriptive qualitative approach, observations, interviews, and document studies. The results indicate that transformational leadership by principals at SDN 019 Pabaki, SDN 023 Pajagalan, and SDN 092 Cibadak Andir Bandung improved teacher professionalism and the quality of education in these schools. Moreover, the implementation of PLCs in these three schools successfully enhanced learning and administrative efficiency. The principals' support in guiding, encouraging innovation, and fostering collaboration and ongoing professional development created a harmonious and innovative school culture. It is hoped that these findings will encourage the broader application of transformational leadership in schools, strengthen the implementation of PLCs, and improve collaboration and professional development among teachers, thus creating a higher quality and more innovative educational environment.
