Abstract

Standar kompetensi merupakan elemen kunci dalam memastikan kualitas lulusan dalam sebuah program. Namun, tantangan yang seringkali muncul adalah kurangnya definisi yang jelas, terstruktur, dan konsisten mengenai kompetensi sebuah program, yang berpotensi menimbulkan kesenjangan antara keterampilan lulusan dengan kebutuhan industri. Penelitian ini berfokus pada analisis standar kompetensi yang ada dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi area-area yang memerlukan penguatan, serta memastikan bahwa standar kompetensi tersebut sesuai dengan tuntutan pasar kerja yang dinamis dan berkembang. Dalam menjawab permasalahan penelitian digunakan metode kualitatif yang melibatkan pengumpulan data melalui studi dokumen terkini, wawancara mendalam dengan pakar pendidikan dan industri, serta analisis mendalam terhadap kebutuhan pasar kerja. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya penyesuaian dan penyempurnaan standar kompetensi yang ada untuk mencerminkan perkembangan terbaru dalam dunia kerja. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya revisi dan penerapan standar kompetensi yang lebih adaptif dan responsif, yang diharapkan akan meningkatkan daya saing lulusan dan kesiapan mereka dalam menghadapi tantangan global di masa depan.

Competency standards are a key element in ensuring the quality of graduates within a program. However, the challenges that often arise include the lack of clear, structured, and consistent definitions regarding the competency standards that must be achieved by program participants, potentially leading to a gap between graduates' skills and industry needs. This research focuses on analyzing the existing competency standards with the aim of identifying areas that require strengthening, as well as ensuring that these standards align with the dynamic and evolving demands of the job market. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method, involving data collection through recent literature reviews, in-depth interviews with education and industry experts, and thorough analysis of labor market needs. The findings of this research highlight the importance of adjusting and refining existing competency standards to reflect the latest developments in the workforce. The implications of this research emphasize the need for revising and implementing more adaptive and responsive competency standards, which are expected to enhance graduates' competitiveness and readiness to face global challenges in the future.
