Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan pola ritmik dan tempo peserta didik yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya tidak selarasnya ketukan yang dimainkan. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya metode pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pola ritmik dan tempo peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian pre-eksperimental tipe one group pretest-posttest. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IV di salah satu SD Kota Bogor yang berjumlah 21 peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pola ritmik dan tempo peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode Dalcroze dan mengetahui efektivitas metode Dalcroze terhadap kemampuan pola ritmik dan tempo peserta didik. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: 1) kemampuan pola ritmik dan tempo sebelum diberikannya perlakuan menggunakan metode Dalcroze masih kurang dimana hasil rata-rata pretest sebesar 3,57, 2) kemampuan pola ritmik dan tempo sesudah diberikannya perlakuan menggunakan metode Dalcroze terjadi peningkatan yang cukup signifikan dimana hasil rata-rata posttest sebesar 11,52, 3) metode Dalcroze efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pola ritmik dan tempo peserta didik. This research was motivated by the low ability of students' rhythmic patterns and tempo which was indicated by the presence of out-of-sync beats being played. Therefore, there is a need for learning methods that can improve students' rhythmic pattern and tempo abilities. This research uses quantitative methods with pre-experimental research type one group pretest-posttest. The sample used in this research was class IV students in one of the Bogor City elementary schools, totaling 21 students. This research aims to determine the differences in students' rhythmic pattern and tempo abilities before and after using the Dalcroze method and to determine the effectiveness of the Dalcroze method on students' rhythmic pattern and tempo abilities. The conclusion of this research shows that: 1) the ability for rhythmic patterns and tempo before being given treatment using the Dalcroze method was still lacking where the average pretest result was 3.57, 2) the ability for rhythmic patterns and tempo after being given treatment using the Dalcroze method there was a significant increase where the average posttest result was 11.52, 3) the Dalcroze method was effective in improving students' rhythmic pattern and tempo abilities.
