Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang optimalnya perkembangan keterampilan motorik halus anak. Diperlukan sebuah kegiatan yang dapat mengembangkan keterampilan motorik halus anak. Kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan motorik halus anak yaitu kegiatan rock painting dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh kegiatan rock painting terhadap pengembangan keterampilan motorik halus anak taman kanak-kanak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode pra-eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one-group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak kelompok A TKQ Raudhatul Irfan yang berjumlah 15 orang anak. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini merupakan instrumen terstandar Peabody Developmental Motor Scale (PDMS) edisi 2 yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan statistika inferensial. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya pengaruh kegiatan rock painting terhadap pengembangan keterampilan motorik halus anak. Hal ini ditunjukkan melalui uji hipotesis paired sample test didapatkan hasil sig. 0,001. Peningkatan tersebut tidak terlepas dari faktor stimulasi yang terdapat pada kegiatan rock painting khususnya melalui penggunaan kuas, batu sebagai media lukis, dan eksplorasi warna. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, hendaknya guru dapat mempertimbangkan kegiatan rock painting sebagai referensi kegiatan pembelajaran dalam menstimulasi keterampilan motorik halus anak. This research is motivated by the suboptimal development of children's fine motor skills. An action is needed that can develop children's fine motor skills. The action taken to develop children's fine motor skills is rock painting activities in learning activities. This study aims to determine the effect of rock painting activities on the development of fine motor skills of kindergarten children. The method used in this study is the pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The sample in this study were all children in group A of Raudhatul Irfan Kindergarten, totaling 15 children. The instrument used in this study was a standardized instrument PDMS edition 2 (Peabody Developmental Motor Scale) which was then analyzed using inferential statistics. The results of this study indicate the effect of rock painting activities on the development of children's fine motor skills. This is shown through the paired sample test hypothesis test obtained a sig. 0.001. This increase is inseparable from the stimulation factors found in rock painting activities, especially through the use of brushes, stones as painting media, and color exploration. Based on the results of this study, teachers should consider rock painting activities as a reference for learning activities in stimulating children's fine motor skills
