Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains merupakan salah satu capaian pembelajaran biologi dalam kurikulum merdeka, karena keterampilan ini penting untuk membantu siswa menghadapi permasalahan dunia nyata terutama dalam hal sains dan teknologi. Namun, penelitian yang telah ada menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses sains siswa masih rendah. Pembelajaran dengan model Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) memfasilitasi siswa untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai keterlaksanaan pembelajaran model POGIL, pengaruh model POGIL terhadap keterampilan proses sains pada materi ekosistem, dan respon siswa dalam pembelajaran model POGIL. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah preeksperimen dengan desain one grup pre-test and post-test design, yang dilakukan terhadap satu kelompok tanpa adanya kelmpok kontrol. Penelitian dilakukan kepada siswa kelas X MIPA di salah satu SMA Negeri Kota Bandung yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar keterlaksanaan pembelajaran model POGIL, 10 soal keterampilan proses sains, dan angket respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran model POGIL. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran model POGIL pada materi ekosistem dilaksanakan dengan sangat baik dan terdapat peningkatan keterampilan proses sains setelah diterapkan pembelajaran model POGIL pada materi ekosistem dengan skor N-Gain termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang (0.47). Selain itu, respon siswa positif terhadap pembelajaran model POGIL. Science process skills are one of the learning outcomes of biology in the Kurikulum Merdeka, because these skills are important to help students face real-world problems, especially in terms of science and technology. However, existing research shows that students' science process skills is still low. Learning with the Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) model facilitates students to practice science process skills. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the implementation of the POGIL learning model, the effect of the POGIL model on science process skills on ecosystem topic, and student responses in learning the POGIL model. The method used in the research was pre-experiment with one group pre-test and post-test design, which was conducted on one group without a control group. The research was conducted on X MIPA class students in one of the SMA Negeri in Bandung totaling 30 students. The research instruments used were the POGIL model learning implementation sheet, 10 science process skills questions, and a student response questionnaire to the POGIL model learning. The findings of this study indicate that the implementation of the POGIL learning model on ecosystem material is very well implemented and there is an increase in science process skills after applying the POGIL learning model on ecosystem topic with an N-Gain score in the moderate category (0.47). The student responses after learning with POGIL showed a positive response.
