Abstract
Penelitian yang berjudul “Penggunaan Kartu Pembelajaran Bergambar terhadap Penguasaan Konsep Siswa SMP Kelas Bilingual pada Konsep Sistem Peredaran Darah” ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan kartu pembelajaran bergambar sebagai sumber belajar mandiri terhadap penguasaan konsep sistem peredaran darah pada siswa SMPN kelas VIII Bilingual. Metode yang digunakan adalah Quasy Experiment dengan desain penelitian Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian dilakukan di SMPN “X” Bandung dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 54 siswa kelas VIII Bilingual, yaitu 28 siswa pada kelas kontrol yang menggunakan buku teks, dan 26 siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan Kartu Pembelajaran Bergambar. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui instrumen soal objektif pada saat pretest dan posttest. Perhitungan statistik yang dilakukan dengan Uji U Mann-Whitney menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan penguasaan konsep siswa di kedua kelas penelitian. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai signifikansi dua ekor pada Uji U Mann-Whitney yang kurang dari nilai taraf signifikansi (α) 0,05, yaitu 0,0174 < 0,05. Adapun penguasaan konsep siswa yang mempelajari sistem peredaran darah melalui kartu pembelajaran bergambar lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mempelajari sistem peredaran darah melalui buku teks. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan kartu pembelajaran bergambar terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa SMP kelas bilingual pada konsep sistem peredaran darah. The purpose of this study is to know the influence of pictorial intructional cards as independent learning resource towards Bilingual Junior High School Grade VIII students’ concept mastery. Method used in this study is Quasy Experiment with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study was conducted in Junior High School "X" in Bandung and the subjects were 54 students of grade VIII bilingual class, ie 28 students in the control class using the textbook, and 26 students in the experimental class that use the pictorial learning cards. Data was collected by the research instrument in the form of objective questions during pretest and posttest. Statistical calculations that were performed with the Mann-Whitney U test showed that there were differences in students' concept mastery between class, the textbook class and pictorial learning cards class. This is proven from the significant value of two tails on the Mann-Whitney U test that were less than the significance level (α) of 0.05, which is 0.0174 <0.05. The concept mastery of students who studied the circulatory system through pictorial learning cards better than students who studied the circulatory system through textbooks. It can be concluded that there are significant use of pictorial learning cards towards the concept mastery of junior high school students in the bilingual class about circulatory system.
