Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa akibat penggunaan model pembelajaran yang masih berpusat pada guru. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif menjadi salah satu komponen penting abad 21 yang harus dimiliki siswa dalam menghadapi sebuah permasalahan termasuk permasalahan lingkungan akibat sampah plastik. Oleh karena itu, guru dituntut untuk bisa meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa terutama pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan adalah inovasi model pembelajaran dengan Project Based Learning (PjBL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Project Based Learning berbantu sampah plastik terhadap berpikir kreatif siswa sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan the matching only pretest-posttest only control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VB dan VC SDN 070 Pasirluyu Kota Bandung tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Kelas VB sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaan konvensional dan VC sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan model Project Based Learning berbantu sampah plasik. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari pre-test dan post-test berpikir kreatif siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model Project Based Learning berbantu sampah plasik terhadap berpikir kreatif siswa. Selain itu, pada kelas kontrol yang menerapkan model pembelajaran konvensional juga memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa, namun tidak sebesar pengaruh pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model PjBL. Hasil analisis data juga menunjukan bahwa adanya perbedaan pengaruh kemampuan berpikir siswa antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan model PjBL dengan pembelajaran menggunakan model konvensional. --------- This research was motivated by the low level of students' creative thinking abilities due to the use of a learning model that is still teacher-centered. The ability to think creatively is one of the important components of the 21st century that students must have in facing problems, including environmental problems caused by plastic waste. Therefore, teachers are required to be able to improve students' creative thinking abilities, especially in Natural Sciences subjects. One way that can be done is to innovate learning models with Project Based Learning (PjBL). This research aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model assisted by plastic waste on elementary school students' creative thinking. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach using the matched only pretest-posttest only control group design. The sample for this research was students in classes VB and VC at SDN 070 Pasirluyu, Bandung City, academic year 2023/2024. Class VB as a control class uses a conventional learning model and VC as an experimental class uses a Project Based Learning model assisted by plastic waste. This research data was obtained from the students' creative thinking pre-test and post-test. The research results show that there is an influence of implementing the Project Based Learning model assisted by plastic waste on students' creative thinking. Apart from that, the control class which applied the conventional learning model also had an influence on students' creative thinking abilities, but not as much as the influence in the experimental class which used the PjBL model. The results of data analysis also show that there is a difference in the influence of students' thinking abilities between learning using the PjBL model and learning using the conventional model.
