Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan rendahnya minat baca anak di sekolah yang sudah dilakukan pembiasaan membaca namun sering merasa bosan dan sebagian besarnya belum ada ketertarikan pada kegiatan membaca. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah mengembangkan desain buku digital cerita “Legenda Situ Bagendit” sehingga valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan minat baca anak usia 5 – 6 Tahun di Kecamatan Garut Kota. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian Design and Development (D&D) dengan model ADDIE dengan teknik analisis mix method. Kegiatan merancang media dilakukan pada saat tahap analisis dan tahap desainBuku digital ini mendapatkan validitas dengan persentase 84% dalam kategori “Tinggi” oleh ahli materi dan bahasa, serta mencapai persentase 76,9% dalam kategori “Tinggi” oleh ahli media yang berarti media yang dikembangkan sudah layak untuk diuji cobakan. Pada saat pretest dilakukannya observasi pada anak untuk melihat kondisi minat baca anak sebelum penggunaan buku digital yang dikembangkan dan mendapatkan hasil persentase rata-rata sebesar 37,67% dalam katerogi “Kurang Baik”. Kemudian dilakukan posttest dilakukan observasi anak untuk melihat kondisi minat baca anak sesudah penggunaan buku digital cerita rakyat dan mendapatkan hasil persentase rata-rata sebesar 88,92% dalam kategori “Sangat Baik”. Maka saat dilakukan uji t berpasangan pada hasil pretest dan posttest mendapatkan hasil -18.514 , yang artinya H1 diterima bahwa pengembangan buku digital ini mendapatkan peningkatan hasil yang signifikan. Dilakukan juga uji N Gain Score untuk melihat efektivitas pengembangan buku digital cerita rakyat untuk meningkatkan minat baca anak usia 5 – 6 tahun dan mendapatkan hasil persentase 81,77% dalam kategori “Efektif”. ----------- This research is motivated by the problem of low reading interest in children at school who have been taught to read but often feel bored and most of them have no interest in reading activities. The aim of this research is to develop a digital book design for the story "The Legend of Situ Bagendit" so that it is valid, practical and effective in increasing reading interest in children aged 5 - 6 years in Garut Kota. The research method used in this research is Design and Development (D&D) research using the ADDIE model with mix method analysis techniques. Media design activities were carried out during the analysis and design stages. This digital book received validity with a percentage of 84% in the "High" category by material and language experts, and reached a percentage of 76.9% in the "High" category by media experts, which means the media developed it's worth testing. During the pretest, observations were made on the children to see the condition of the children's interest in reading before using the developed digital books and obtained an average percentage result of 37.67% in the "Not Good" category. Then a posttest was carried out by observing the children to see the condition of children's interest in reading after using digital folklore books and obtained an average percentage result of 88.92% in the "Very Good" category. So when the paired t test was carried out on the pretest and posttest results, the results were -18.514, which means that H1 was accepted that the development of this digital book had a significant increase in results. An N Gain Score test was also carried out to see the effectiveness of developing digital folklore books to increase reading interest in children aged 5 - 6 years and obtained a percentage result of 81.77% in the "Effective" category.
