Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa. Namun, fakta di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa masih tergolong rendah, dimana salah satu materinya adalah fungsi kuadrat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pencapaian serta peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menerima model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan GeoGebra lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menerima model pembelajaran yang biasa digunakan sekolah dalam kerangka kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMA kelas X pada salah satu SMA Negeri yang berada di Kota Bandung, Jawa Barat, dengan dua kelas di antaranya menjadi sampel penelitian. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah instrumen tes berupa soal kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Setelah dilakukan analisis data penelitian, diperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menerima model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan GeoGebra lebih baik secara signifikan daripada siswa yang menerima model pembelajaran yang biasa digunakan di sekolah dalam kerangka kurikulum merdeka serta peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menerima model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan GeoGebra lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada siswa yang menerima model pembelajaran yang biasa digunakan sekolah dalam kerangka kurikulum merdeka. Mathematical communication skills are one of the abilities that students must possess. However, field facts show that students’ mathematical communication skills are still relatively low, with one of the topics being quadratic functions. This study aims to determine the achievement and improvement of students’ mathematical communication skills who receive guided inquiry learning models assisted by GeoGebra, which are significantly higher than students who receive the usual learning models used by schools within the framework of the independent curriculum. This research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental method. The research design used is a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study is grade X high school students at one of the public high schools in Bandung City, West Java, with two classes among them being the research sample. The research instrument used is a test instrument in the form of mathematical communication skills questions. After analyzing the research data, the results showed that the mathematical communication skills of students who received guided inquiry learning models assisted by GeoGebra were significantly higher than students who received the usual learning models used by schools within the framework of the independent curriculum. The improvement of mathematical communication skills of students who received guided inquiry learning models assisted by GeoGebra was significantly higher than students who received the usual learning models used by schools within the framework of the independent curriculum.
