    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena rendahnya keterampilan siswa kelas V SD Plus al-Muhajirin Kabupaten Purwakarta dalam menulis laporan pengamatan. Keterampilan awal menulis mayoritas siswa memiliki kualitas yang rendah, baik dari aspek isi dan relevansi isi gagasan yang dilaporkan, organisasi
    isi laporan, ketepatan analisis data dan penyimpulan dari hasil penginderaan terhadap objek, gaya dan ketetapan diksi, serta ketepatan ejaan dan tanda baca.
    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan model
    think-pair-share dalam peningkatan keterampilan menulis laporan pengamatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen
    kuasi dengan non-equivalent control group design. Penelitian dilakukan
    di SD Plus al-Muhajirin Kabupaten Purwakarta dengan mengambil partisipan penelitian yakni siswa kelas V yang ditentukan secara random
    menggunakan teknik stratified sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang
    digunakan adalah tes esai menulis laporan pengamatan. Data hasil
    penelitian dianalisis secara statistik melalui uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan t-test.
    Berbeda dengan kelas konvensional yang cenderung tidak mengalami kemajuan yang signifikan. Pasca mendapatkan treatment berupa model think-pair-share, keterampilan siswa kelas eksperimen dalam menulis laporan pengamatan meningkat secara signifikan. Setelah dilakukan uji t terhadap data posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, diperoleh thitung=2,298, dan ttabel (0,975)=2,040
    dengan taraf signifikansi 95%. Dengan demikian, thitung=2,298>ttabel (0,975)=2,040.
    Jadi, terdapat perbedaan tingkat keterampilan antara siswa
    kelas eksperimen dengan siswa kelas kontrol dalam menulis laporan pengamatan.
    Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan secara empirik bahwa model
    think-pair-share dapat digunakan untuk peningkatan keterampilan menulis
    laporan pengamatan dengan mengubah gaya pembelajaran dari
    individual-kompetitif ke kooperatif-kolaboratif yang lebih memberdayakan siswa.

    Background of this research was the phenomenon of lower skills of fifth grade students in SD Plus al-Muhajirin Kabupaten Purwakarta in writing observation reports. Early writing skills of the students were low, both of the content and relevance of the reported content of ideas, organization of the report content, the accuracy of the data analysis and conclusions from the results of the detection of objects, style and diction of the statutes, and the accuracy of spelling
    and punctuation. This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of think-pair-share model in improving the writing skills of observation reports.
    this study used quasi-experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. The study was conducted in SD Plus al-Muhajirin Kabupaten Purwakarta, the participants of this research are the fifth grade students
    were determined randomly using stratified sampling technique. The research instrument used was an essay test of writing observation reports.
    The data were analyzed statistically by tests of normality, homogeneity, and t-test.
    Unlike conventional classes tend not experience significant progress. After getting treatment in the form of a model think-pair-share, the experimental class students' skills in writing observation reports increased significantly. After the t test to
    the posttest data of experimental class and control class, obtained tstatistic=2.298, and ttable (0.975)=2.040 with a significance level of 95%. Thus tstatistic=2.298>ttable (0.975)=2.040. So, there is a difference in skill level between students of the experimental class with students of the control class in writing observation reports. The results of this study demonstrate empirically that the think-pair-share model can be used to improve the writing skills of observation
    reports by changing the learning style from the individual-competitive
    to cooperative-collaborative that more empowering students.
