Abstract

Materi fotosintesis merupakan salah satu materi yang memerlukan praktikum agar dapat dikuasi peserta didik dengan baik. Namun, pelaksanaan praktikum di sekolah tidak jarang mengalami kendala. Implementasi laboratorium virtual dapat menjadi alternatif dan dianggap mampu untuk memfasilitasi pengembangan keterampilan proses sains serta pengembangan literasi digital yang diperlukan dalam menghadapi pembelajaran abad 21. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai keterampilan proses sains dan literasi digital peserta didik sebelum dan setelah implementasi laboratorium virtual pada materi fotosintesis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian pretest – posttest non-equivalent group design. Terdapat dua kelas eksperimen dengan kelas eksperimen satu diberi perlakuan implementasi laboratorium virtual olabs dan kelompok eksperimen dua diberi perlakuan implementasi laboratorium virtual bmtmelati. Partisipan terdiri dari 60 peserta didik kelas 12 di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung. Data penelitian didasarkan pada hasil pretest-posttest 20 soal keterampilan proses sains, pretest-posttest 10 soal literasi digital, LKPD, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan angket respon peserta didik. Keterampilan proses sains peserta didik mengalami peningkatan setelah implementasi laboratorium virtual pada materi fotosintesis dengan skor N-Gain kelas E1 sebesar 0,64 dan kelas E2 sebesar 0,61 pada kategori sedang. Literasi digital peserta didik mengalami peningkatan setelah implementasi laboratorium virtual pada materi fotosintesis dengan skor N-Gain kelas E1 sebesar 0,54 dan kelas E2 sebesar 0,59 dalam kategori sedang. Sebaiknya, memberikan kesempatan pada peserta didik untuk mengeksplorasi laboratorium virtual secara mendalam sebelum melakukan pembelajaran. The topic of photosynthesis is one that requires practical experimentation to be thoroughly understood by students. However, conducting experiments in schools often encounters challenges. The implementation of virtual laboratories can serve as an alternative and is considered capable of facilitating the development of scientific process skills and the digital literacy necessary for 21st-century learning. The aim of this research is to gather information about students' scientific process skills and digital literacy before and after the implementation of virtual laboratories in the photosynthesis topic. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design. There are two experimental classes: one class (E1) was treated with the implementation of the Olabs virtual laboratory, and the other class (E2) with the BMTMelati virtual laboratory. The participants consisted of 60 12th-grade students from a public high school in Bandung. The research data is based on the results of pretests and posttests comprising 20 questions on scientific process skills, pretests and posttests of 10 questions on digital literacy, student worksheets, observation sheets on the implementation of learning, and student response questionnaires. Students' scientific process skills showed improvement after the implementation of virtual laboratories in the photosynthesis topic, with an N-Gain score of 0.64 for class E1 and 0.61 for class E2, both falling within the medium category. Students' digital literacy also improved after the implementation of virtual laboratories in the photosynthesis topic, with an N-Gain score of 0.54 for class E1 and 0.59 for class E2, both within the medium category. It is recommended to provide students with the opportunity to explore the virtual laboratory in depth before conducting the lessons.
