Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian desain dan pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa pengembangan Magnet Book ‘KATA KAKA’ sebagai media pembelajaran membaca permulaan berbasis ekoliterasi. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa siswa yang masih belum bisa membaca. Rendahnya kemampuan membaca siswa salah satunya disebabkan oleh kurangnya variasi media membaca permulaan yang digunakan oleh guru sehingga pembelajaran kurang inovatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengfan model Design and Development (D&D) tipe 1. Digunakan prosedur penelitian yang meliputi tiga tahapan, yaitu design and development, product evaluation, dan validation of tool or technique. Instrumen berupa wawancara, lembar angket validasi ahli, serta angket respons siswa dan guru. Partisipan penelitian ini yakni validator (dua ahli materi dan dua ahli media) serta Responsden (25 siswa dan 1 guru). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian kelayakan Magnet Book melibatkan 2 ahli media dan 2 ahli materi dan kebahasaan melalui uji validitas menggunakan Aiken’s V dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach Alpha. Hasil penilaian media memperoleh penilaian sebesar 84% (Sangat Layak/Sangat Valid) dan 0,908 (Sangat Reliabel). Selanjutnya untuk penilaian materi dan kebahasaan memperoleh penilaian sebesar 83% (sangat Layak/Sangat Valid) dan 0,824 (Sangat Reliabel). Kemudian, hasil Respons siswa dan juga guru menunjukkan bahwa Magnet Book ini siap untuk digunakan dan memiliki kesesuaian dengan pengguna dengan penilaian hasil Respons siswa 98% (Sangat Puas) dan penilaian hasil Respons guru 100% (Sangat Puas). Oleh karena itu, berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa Magnet Book ‘KATA KAKA’ sebagai media pembelajaran membaca permulaan berbasis ekoliterasi sudah memenuhi kriteria layak untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dengan beberapa saran perbaikan dari validator ahli dan pengguna. ----------- This study is a design and development research aimed at producing a product in the form of the "KATA KAKA" Magnet Book as an eco-literacy-based early reading learning medium. The research was motivated by the fact that some students are still unable to read. One of the contributing factors to the low reading ability of students is the lack of variety in the early reading media used by teachers, resulting in less innovative learning. The research method employed is a development study using the Design and Development (D&D) Type 1 model. The research procedure consists of three stages: design and development, product evaluation, and validation of tools or techniques. Instruments used include interviews, expert validation questionnaires, and student and teacher Responses questionnaires. The participants in this study were validators (two subject matter experts and two media experts) and Responsdents (25 students and 1 teacher). The results of the study showed that the feasibility assessment of the Magnet Book involved two media experts and two subject matter and language experts, with validity testing using Aiken’s V and reliability testing using Cronbach's Alpha. The media assessment scored 84% (Highly Feasible/Highly Valid) and 0.908 (Highly Reliable). The subject matter and language assessment scored 83% (Highly Feasible/Highly Valid) and 0.824 (Highly Reliable). Additionally, the Responses from students and teachers indicated that the Magnet Book is ready for use and is suitable for users, with student Responses ratings at 98% (Very Satisfied) and teacher Responses ratings at 100% (Very Satisfied). Therefore, based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the "KATA KAKA" Magnet Book, as an eco-literacy-based early reading learning medium, meets the criteria for feasibility in educational activities, with some suggested improvements from expert validators and users.
