Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul ”Penerapan Metode Discoveri untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa SD pada Mata Pelajaran Matematika Materi Pokok Bangun Ruang”.Bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan metode diskoveri. Subjek yang dikenai tindakan yaitu siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 28 siswa pada tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 di SDN Sukarasa 3 Kecamatan Sukasari Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi kemudian dibuat perencanaan perbaikan yang digunakan dalam siklus selanjutnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Adapun instrument pengumpulan data berupa tes akhir siklus, lembar observasi.Tes digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa setelah pelaksanaan tindakan pembelajaran, lembar observasi aktifitas guru dan siswa digunakan untuk mengobservasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar siswa setelah dilakukan tindakan pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan. Data menunjukan bahwa pada tindakan pembelajaran siklus I hasil belajar siswa diperoleh nilai rata-rata 70,36 dan pada tindakan pembelajaran siklus II terjadi peningkatan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata 81,43. Adapun rekomendasi bagi guru yang akan menerapkan metode diskoveri, sebaiknya guru harus memahami betul tentang materi yang akan disampaikan terkait dengan hal-hal yang harus ditemukan oleh siswa. Kata Kunci : Metode Discovery, Hasil Belajar This research is entitled “The Application of Discovery Method to improve the result of students’learning on math subject with the main discussion on space and form”. The research is aimed to improve the result of the students’ learning by applying the discovery method. The subjects of the research involved 28 students of the fifth grader in academic year 2013/2014 at Sukarasa 3 Elementary school Sub District Sukasari Bandung City. The method of the research used in the research was Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) –Class Activity Research- starting from planning, implementation, observation and reflection for the improvement plant used for the following cycle done later. The research was done in two cycles. The data collection instrument covered the final test of the cycle and observation sheet. The test was used to measure the result of the students’learning after the implementation of the learning activity, observation sheet of the teacher’s and students’ activity was used to observe the fulfillment of the learning done by the teachers. The result of the research showed that the learning result of the students after the learning activity showed an improvement. The data showed that in the learning activity of the cycle I of the students’ learning result, it was obtained the average score of 70,36 and in the learning activity of cycle II there was an improvement with the average score as high as 81,43. The recommendation is that the teachers who are going to apply the discovery method fully understand the subject to be delivered regarding the details that must be found by the students.
