Abstract
Keberagaman karakteristik yang dimiliki oleh siswa menuntut untuk mencipatkan kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat mengakomodasi seluruh keberagaman tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran diferensiasi terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel Penelitian ditentukan secara purposive sampling yang terdiri dari 25 siswa untuk kelas kontrol dan 25 siswa untuk kelas eksperimen. Instrumen pengumpulan data dikembangkan berdasarkan instrumen pemahaman konsep. Data yang diperoleh dan dianaliasis menggunakan teknik stastiskan inferensial. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa nilai N-Gain pembelajaran diferensiasi memliki nilai yang lebih baik daripada pembelajaran konvensional. Untuk hasil keterlaksanaan pembelajaran diferensiasi menunjukkan hasil sangat baik. Pada hasil soal pretest dan posttest menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan pemahaman konsep. Pada setiap aspek pemahaman konsep, yaitu menafsirkan, mengelompokkan, menarik infers, masuk kedalam kategori tinggi, aspek memberi contoh, membandingkan, menjelaskan masuk kedalam kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran diferensiasi sangat baik digunakan untuk dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa kelas IV. ------- The diversity of characteristics possessed by students requires the creation of learning activities that can accommodate all of this diversity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of differentiation learning on students' conceptual understanding. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a Nonequivalent Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling consisting of 25 students for the control class and 25 students for the experimental class. The data collection instrument was developed based on the conceptual understanding instrument. The data obtained and analyzed using inferential statistical techniques. The findings of this study indicate that the N-Gain value of differentiation learning has a better value than conventional learning. The results of the implementation of differentiation learning showed very good results. The results of the pretest and posttest questions showed that students experienced an increase in conceptual understanding. In each aspect of conceptual understanding, namely interpreting, grouping, drawing inferences, it is included in the high category, the aspect of giving examples, comparing, explaining is included in the medium category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that differentiation learning is very good to be used to improve the conceptual understanding of grade IV students.
