Abstract

Membaca merupakan keterampilan berbahasa yang penting untuk dikuasai. Membaca perlu diajarkan sejak dini dalam kehidupan, karena dalam kehidupan sehari-hari tidak luput dari kegiatan membaca. Namun, kenyataan di lapangan masih ditemukan bahwa kemampuan membaca siswa kelas I tergolong rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini diantaranya untuk mengetahui: 1) Pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe scramble berbantuan media wordwall kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa sekolah dasar; 2) Peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa yang mendapat model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe scramble berbantuan media wordwall lebih baik dibandingkan yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan metode suku kata. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperiment dengan desain Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas I SDN Wanasari 02 dengan jumlah 56 siswa yang terbagi menjadi 28 siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan 28 siswa kelas kontrol. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini ialah: 1) Terdapat pengaruh sebesar 86,4% dari model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe sramble berbantuan media wordwall terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa sekolah dasar; 2) Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa yang mendapat model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe scramble berbantuan media wordwall lebih baik daripada yang menggunakan metode suku kata. Penelitian selanjutnya direkomendasikan melakukan penelitian sejenis dengan menerapkan model scramble untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa lainnya. ----- Reading is an important language skill to master. Reading needs to be taught from an early age in life, because in everyday life reading activities cannot be avoided. However, the reality in the field is that the reading ability of class I students is relatively low. The aims of this research include: 1) The influence of the scramble type cooperative learning model assisted by wordwall media on elementary school students' initial reading ability; 2) The improvement in the initial reading ability of students who received the scramble type cooperative learning model assisted by wordwall media was better than those who received learning using the syllabic method. The research method used was Quasi Experimental with a Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample for this research was class I students at SDN Wanasari 02 with a total of 56 students divided into 28 students in the experimental class and 28 students in the control class. The results obtained from this research are: 1) There is an influence of 86.4% of the scramble type cooperative learning model assisted by wordwall media on elementary school students' initial reading ability; 2) There is an increase in the initial reading ability of students who receive the scramble type cooperative learning model assisted by wordwall media, better than those who use the syllable method. Further research is recommended to carry out similar research by applying the scramble model to improve other language skills.
