Abstract

Kemampuan membaca permulaan merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Rendahnya kemampuan memebaca permulaan siswa sekolah dasar menjadi latar belakang dalam penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: 1) Untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar yang mendapatkan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Scramble berbantuan media E-Flashcard dalam pembelajaran lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan penerapan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction; 2) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Scramble berbantuan media E-Flashcard terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain non-equivalent Pretest-posttest control group design dengan subjek sebanyak 40 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran adalah instrumen tes kemampuan membaca permulaan. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh kesimpulan: 1) Peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa sekolah dasar yang mendapatkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Scramble berbantuan media E-Flashcard lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapatkan penerapan model pembelajaran Direct Instruction; 2) Terdapat pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Scramble berbantuan media E-Flashcard terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas satu di sekolah dasar. ----- Early reading ability is one of the abilities that students must have when learning Indonesian. The low reading ability of elementary school students is the background for this research. The objectives of this research are: 1) To determine the improvement in the initial reading skills of grade 1 elementary school students who apply the Scramble type cooperative learning model assisted by E-Flashcard media in learning better than students who apply the Direct Instruction learning model; 2) To determine the effect of implementing the Scramble type cooperative learning model assisted by E-Flashcard media on the initial reading ability of grade 1 elementary school students. The research method used was a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent Pretest-posttest control group design with 40 students as subjects. The instrument used to obtain data before and after learning was the initial reading ability test instrument. Based on the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that: 1) The improvement in the initial reading skills of elementary school students who receive Scramble-type cooperative learning assisted by E-Flashcard media is better than students who receive the application of the Direct Instruction learning model; 2) There is an influence of the application of the Scramble type cooperative learning model assisted by E-Flashcard media on the initial reading ability of first-grade students in elementary schools.
