Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan rendahnya kemampuan berbicara siswa yang ditandai dengan keraguan dan kurangnya kepercayaan diri, kurangnya aktivitas siswa dalam berbicara selama pembelajaran, lingkungan pembelajaran yang tidak mendukung, metode pengajaran yang kurang efektif, keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran inside outside circle dengan bantuan media audio visual terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas IV di SDN Sindang Mulya 03. Metode ini dipilih sebagai respons terhadap permasalahan yang dialami oleh siswa dalam memperoleh kemampuan berbicara yang memadai. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest, serta observasi terhadap implementasi pembelajaran oleh guru dan partisipasi siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif, desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre- experimental design dalam bentuk one-group pretest-posttest design. Pada penelitian ini melibatkan 22 siswa kelas IV sebagai sampel penelitian. Hasil analisis pada skor pretest rata-rata nilai 65 dan skor posttest rata-rata nilai 87,68, dengan nilai n-gain rata-rata sebesar 0,6380. Uji regresi linear sederhana menghasilkan koefisien determinasi sebesar 25,3%, menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berbicara siswa. Uji T menunjukkan signifikansi dengan nilai 0,000 < 0,05 yang mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan model ini. Hasil observasi terhadap guru dan siswa mendapat skor observasi mencapai 100%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran inside outside circle berbantuan media audio visual efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas IV. ----- This research is motivated by the low speaking ability of students which is characterized by doubts and lack of self-confidence, lack of student activity in speaking during learning, an unsupportive learning environment, less effective teaching methods, and limited facilities and infrastructure. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the effect of the inside-outside circle learning model with the help of audio-visual media on improving the speaking skills of class IV students at SDN Sindang Mulya 03. This method was chosen as a response to the problems experienced by students in obtaining adequate speaking skills. Data was collected through pretest and posttest, as well as observations of teacher implementation of learning and student participation in learning activities. This research uses quantitative research methods, the research design used is a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest design. This research involved 22 fourth grade students as research samples. The results of the analysis on the average pretest score were 65 and the average posttest score was 87.68, with an average n-gain value of 0.6380. The simple linear regression test produced a coefficient of determination of 25.3%, indicating that the learning model made a positive contribution to improving students' speaking skills. The T test shows significance with a value of 0.000 < 0.05 which indicates that there is a significant influence from using this model. The results of observations of teachers and students received an observation score of 100%. It can be concluded that the inside outside circle learning model assisted by audio visual media is effective in improving the speaking skills of class IV students.
