Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan menyimak narasi pada siswa kelas 4 Sekolah dasar. Berdasarkan hasil data prasiklus bahwa kemampuan menyimak narasi kelas IV SDN Empang Bahagia 1 masih rendah. Maka peneliti melakukan tindakan dengan menerapkan Strategi Directed Listening Thinking Activity (DLTA) berbantuan media Card Clue selama proses pembelajaran dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak narasi pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan desain Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart melalui 2 siklus dan diawali prasiklus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Empang Bahagia 1 dengan subjek penelitian 28 siswa yang terdiri dari 15 siswa perempuan dan 13 siswa laki-laki. Terdapat peningkatan pada kemampuan menyimak narasi setelah diterapkannya Strategi Directed Listening Thinking Activity berbantuan media Card Clue yang diperoleh dari hasil aktivitas guru dan siswa serta hasil belajar siswa. Hasil aktivitas guru dan siswa terdapat peningkatan pada siklus I mencapai 80% dengan kategori baik dan siklus II mencapai 100% dengan kategori sangat baik. Rata-rata hasil tes kemampuan menyimak narasi pada prasiklus sebesar 52 dengan jumlah siswa tuntas 6 siswa. Siklus I memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 61 dengan jumlah siswa tuntas 12 siswa dan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 43%. Adapun Siklus II memperoleh nilai rat-rata 80 dengan jumlah siswa tuntas 24 siswa dan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 86%. Dengan demikian bahwa penerapan Strategi Directed Listening Thinking Activity (DLTA) berbantuan media Card Clue dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak narasi siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. ----- This research is motivated by the lack of narrative listening ability in grade 4 elementary school students. Based on the results of pre-cycle data, the ability to listen to the narrative of grade IV of SDN Empang Bahagia 1 is still low. So, the researcher implemented the Directed Listening Thinking Activity (DLTA) Strategy assisted by Card Clue media during the learning process to improve the ability to listen to narratives in grade IV elementary school students. This research was conducted using the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with the design of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart went through 2 cycles and began with pre-cycle. This research was carried out at SDN Empang Bahagia 1 with the research subjects of 28 students consisting of 15 female students and 13 male students. There was an improvement in the ability to listen to narratives after implementing the Directed Listening Thinking Activity Strategy assisted by Card Clue media obtained from the results of teacher and student activities and student learning outcomes. The results of teacher and student activities showed an increase in cycle I of 80% in the excellent category and the second cycle reaching 100% in the outstanding category. The average result of the narration listening ability test in the pre-cycle was 52, with the number of students completing six students. Cycle I obtained an average score of 61, with the number of students completing 12 students and a completion percentage of 43%. The second cycle obtained an average score of 80, with the number of students completing 24 students and a completion percentage of 86%. Thus, implementing the Directed Listening Thinking Activity (DLTA) Strategy assisted by Card Clue media can improve the ability to listen to the narrative of grade IV elementary school students.
