Abstract

Kemampuan membaca siswa dalam memahami teks narasi diduga masih rendah. Sedangkan membaca merupakan salah satu aspek keterampilan berbahasa yang wajib dikuasi oleh pelajar, jika seseorang melakukan kegiatan membaca secara tidak langsung akan menambah wawasan. Namun pada kenyataannya, membaca belum bisa menjadi sebuah aktifitas sehari-hari siswa Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, peneliti tertarik melakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui peningkatan dan pengaruh pada kedua kelas yang diberikan perlakuan berbeda terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks narasi. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model kooperatif tipe make a match berbantuan media buku digital literacy cloud dan kelas kontrol menggunakan model kooperatif tipe think pair and share. Peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen desain nonequivalent control group. Sampel penelitian merupakan 22 siswa kelas IVA dan 22 siswa kelas IVB. Hasil yang didapatkan pada kelas eksperimen memperoleh peningkatan terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks narasi sebesar 0,3906 berada pada interpretasi sedang, sedangkan kelas kontrol memperoleh peningkatan sebesar 0,1086 berada pada interpretasi rendah. Adanya pengaruh model kooperatif tipe Make A Match berbantuan media buku digital literacy cloud terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks narasi siswa sebesar 34,1%. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model kooperatif tipe Make A Match berbantuan media buku digital literacy cloud dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemhaman teks narasi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan model kooperatif tipe think pair and share. ----- It is thought that students' reading ability in understanding narrative texts is still low. While reading is one aspect of language skills that must be mastered by students, if someone carries out reading activities it will indirectly increase their insight. However, in reality, reading cannot yet become an everyday activity for Indonesian students. Therefore, researchers are interested in conducting research to determine the improvement and influence in the two classes given different treatment on the ability to read and understand narrative text. The experimental class uses a Make A Match type cooperative model assisted by digital literacy cloud book media and the control class uses a think pair and share type cooperative model. Researchers used a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design type of research. The research sample was 22 class IVA students and 22 class IVB students. The results obtained in the experimental class obtained an increase in the ability to read and understand narrative text by 0.3906, which is in the medium interpretation, while the control class obtained an increase of 0.1086, which is in the low interpretation. The influence of the Make A Match type cooperative model assisted by Literacy Cloud digital book media on students' ability to read and understand narrative text was 34.1%. So it can be concluded that the Make A Match type cooperative model assisted by Literacy Cloud digital book media can improve the ability to read and understand narrative texts compared to students who use the Think Pair and Share type cooperative model.
