Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh berbagai hasil survei yang menunjukkan sikap tanggung jawab siswa di Indonesia masih tergolong rendah, begitu pula dengan hasil observasi yang dilakukan di beberapa sekolah di Kota Cimahi. Tanggung jawab yang rendah menunjukkan bagaimana sikap siswa yang menghiraukan kewajiban akademik mereka di sekolah. Tanggung jawab siswa juga dipengaruhi oleh keyakinan diri mereka dalam mencapai prestasi akademik, keyakinan ini disebut dengan Academic Self-Efficacy. Siswa yang memiliki tingkat Academic Self-Efficacy yang tinggi cenderung memiliki tanggung jawab belajar yang lebih besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara Academic Self-Efficacy dengan tanggung jawab belajar siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode korelasi dengan kuesioner sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa-siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Cimahi dengan sampel sebanyak 376 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pearson correlation Academic Self-Efficacy dengan tanggung jawab belajar berada pada angka 0,867 atau 86,7% yang berarti hubungan kedua variabel positif, signifikan dan kuat. Artinya ketika Academic Self-Efficacy siswa dalam kemampuan akademik siswa meningkat, tingkat tanggung jawab belajar mereka juga cenderung meningkat. This research is motivated by various survey results which show that students' attitudes of responsibility in Indonesia are still relatively low, as well as the results of observations carried out in several schools in Cimahi City. Low responsibility shows how students ignore their academic obligations at school. Students' responsibilities are also influenced by their self-confidence in achieving academic achievement, this belief is called Academic Self-Efficacy. Students who have a high level of Academic Self-Efficacy tend to have greater learning responsibilities. This research aims to see the relationship between Academic Self-Efficacy and student learning responsibility. The method used is the correlation method with a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The research sample consisted of public high school students in Cimahi City with a sample of 376 students. The results of this research show that the Pearson correlation of Academic Self- Efficacy with learning responsibility is at 0.867 or 86.7%, which means the relationship between the two variables is positive, significant and strong. This means that when students' Academic Self-Efficacy in their academic abilities increases, their level of learning responsibility also tends to increase.
