Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi masalah mengenai peran orang tua dalam pendampingan belajar anak di rumah selama masa pandemik yang terjadi di SDN Nyalindung Bogor. Tujuan penelitian yaitu mengidentifikasi pendampingan belajar anak di rumah, mendeskripsikan fasilitas yang diberikan orang tua dalam mendampingi belajar anak di rumah, dan mendeskripsikan kendala yang dihadapi dalam pendampingan belajar anak di rumah selama masa pandemik. Metode yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah orang tua anak kelas 2 beserta siswanya. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan wawancara individu kepada orang tua yang sudah sesuai kriteria dan data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa pendampingan aspek belajar yang diberikan orang tua dalam mendampingi belajar anak dirumah selama masa pandemik sudah mencakup semua aspek pendampingan belajar. Pemenuhan fasilitas yang diberikan orang tua dalam mendampingi belajar anak dirumah selama masa pandemik, mencakup fasilitas online berupa jaringan wifi, kuota internet, laptop/komputer, dan handphone, sedangkan fasilitas offline sebagian besar hanya memberikan peralatan alat tulis menulis. Kendala yang dihadapi meliputi kendala online berupa mengeluh pembelian biaya kuota internet tambahan, sedangkan kendala memberikan bimbingan berupa kurang memahami materi belajar yang dipelajari anak dirumah, kurangnya memahami cara mendidik anak yang baik, dan mengatur waktu karena kesibukan. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, terimplikasi peran terbesar orang tua dalam pendampingan belajar anak di rumah ada pada aspek pengawasan kegiatan belajar. Dari hasil penelitian, sejauh ini orang tua sudah menerapkan hal tersebut, akan tetapi orang tua belum berkoordinasi dengan pihak sekolah ketika mengalami kesulitan dalam mendampingi belajar anak dirumah selama masa pandemik. ------------- This research is motivated by the problem regarding the role of parents in accompanying children's learning at home during the pandemic that occurred at SDN Nyalindung Bogor. The aim of the research is to identify children's learning assistance at home, describe the facilities provided by parents in accompanying their children's learning at home, and describe the obstacles encountered in accompanying children's learning at home during the pandemic. The method used is descriptive kualitatif. Respondents in this study were parents of grade 2 children and their students. Data were collected through questionnaires and individual interviews with parents who met the criteria and the data were analyzed descriptively. Based on the results of this study, it was found that the learning assistance provided by parents in accompanying children's learning at home during the pandemic covered all aspects of learning assistance. Fulfillment of facilities provided by parents in accompanying children's learning at home during the pandemic period, including facilities online in the form of a network wifi, internet quota, laptop/computer, and cellphone, while facilities offline most only provide writing instruments. Obstacles faced include obstacles online in the form of complaining about purchasing additional internet quota fees, while the obstacle in providing guidance is in the form of a lack of understanding of the learning material that children are studying at home, a lack of understanding of how to educate children properly, and managing time due to busyness. Based on the research findings, the implication of the biggest role of parents in assisting children's learning at home is in the aspect of supervising learning activities. From the results of the research, so far parents have implemented this, but parents have not coordinated with the school when they experience difficulties accompanying their children's learning at home during the pandemic.
